so about the ending

I'm assuming all the mass relays are destroyed in every ending. Even the 2 endings where Shep either kills all synthetic life or controls the Reapers. How will all of the galaxy's races return to their respective planets? some article on 1up made this point, that even w/ the tech available (sans the relays), you couldn't travel fast enough from sector to sector to maintain the standard of living in the mass effect universe pre-ending. That would mean that everyone is stuck in Sol?

Ending really sucked. It felt like the Matrix basically.

I don't mind the ending so much (despite being a little disappointed about implications for future games) apart from how little effect my choices made in the final sequence?! It seemed far less important that I saved the rachni queen again or did any of the other missions because everyone just became another statistic rather than making an appearance to righteously keel the reapers. Loved the game overall, particularly the geth missions (I was ridiculously shocked when tali committed suicide on me, I didn't even realise the implications of allowing the Geth to upload that code)

This guys review is 100% spot on, I really don't know how anyone can honestly like the ending if you've played ME1-2

It just seems to me like they rushed the hell out of the ending and wanted to try and reuse the same sequence of the events as much as was physically possible, the synthetic/organic merge is literally exactly the same? Surely that one in particular should have radical repercussions with everyone possibly turning into weird not-quite-geth or something?

I'm slightly disappointed that the last two RPGs I bought had such trollish endings

Edit: Also where the hell was my final boss? Did they think ME2's final boss was the pinnacle of ME bosses and they couldn't do better? Pulling a trigger to kill TIM or slow-mo killing a few husks does not constitute a final encounter

They have no planets to return to since according to ME2 when they blow up they destroy the entire system. On a serious note though, its like they are all starting from scratch. No way to return, planets inhabited by different alien species. Sure many wont be able to return to their family but at least they know they saved their family and they are out there living a life somewhere.

Question regarding side missions after geth/asari stuff

So i just finished the Geth/Asari missions and talked to the Asari counselor and she tells me where to find some secret artifact.
But while I was in citidel I had talked to one of those monotone 4 legged alien dudes who speak out what emotions they are trying to convey and his planet was needing help and I agreed. However there is no planet showing for it. Is there actually a mission for it?
and also, right after the Geth stuff, in the Minos Wasteland, it was glowing like there is a quest there but there is no info on it. And if I enter there is a planet that is labeled Aequaris however I cant land on the planet. glitch?

Depends on the ending but the general idea is that the energy in the relays is dispersed to do w/e color BS you choose so they don't kersplode entire systems. Either way anyone that went to earth is mostly screwed Bioware forums full of people theorycrafting and mathing travel times etc. Based on speeds quoted from characters in game apparently it takes 27 years to go from one end to the galaxy to the other thru FTL. Turians and Salarian space are closest to earth. So not even factoring need for fuel anyone that went is still kinda screwed since Turian/Quarian have food issues, Krogan dont have their own ships since they demilitarized, Salarians traveling home be good portion of their lifespan.
Blowing up relays seems like a dumb plot device to skip story of next game ahead X years till races recover rebuild and any direct ties to current ME are long gone or dead(maybe Liara or wrex might still be around).

The single player DLC is probally like 99% bullshit but the new multiplayer seems to be real.

I had that happen too, it's most likely a glitch because by the end of the game I had 100% of the side quests completed.

As far as your other question, for some reason the game gives you quests long before you can actually complete them. The area that Hanar needs you to go to doesn't pop up until towards the later half of the game.

Pretty sure that's the point. Everybody involved in the battle is supposed to die/have negative shit happen to them. All the planets still have non-combatant alien families on them though... Except the Geth I guess. Even with the Krogan, Wreav tells you on Earth that he's sired a shit ton of kids and they're on all Tuchanka.

The whole thing is basically supposed to nuke everybody's culture back to the stone-age with no hope of ever communicating with each other ever again, bringing galactic balance back to the universe or some such.

It's not a mission. You scan a planet somewhere in the universe for something or other and his people get off the planet. I never quite understood this one, as I never pay attention to anything I ever scan.

They couldn't really say anything concrete yet even if they wanted to, the game isn't out in all regions. I think Japan gets theirs today or tomorrow.

Regardless, the hints and cryptic tweets definitely lean towards that end not being the real end.
