Well i can't say i'm not surprised there's not a thread about this yet, since it seems to be one of those games most people either A) forgot B) made themselves forget or C) just didn't like it/play it. Well who cares I liked it, and am excited for the 2nd one.

I liked the game in the same way I will enjoy a mindless action movie sometimes. The destroy everything aspect of it was fun and look forward to doing that again.

Since they're having Alex be the antagonist in this one it looks like, it would be cool if they let you play through it twice, once with each guy D:

A). Mercer kills you at the end or
B). You both work together and co-op in the third game.

I only see those options with A being the most predictable.

Man, two completely different ability types from different places. Exclusive pre-order bonuses piss me off. The vehicle actually looks useful seeing how often they get destroyed. But the butt kicker seems hilarious too

Activision has announced that early buyers of Prototype 2 will gain access to the “Radnet Edition” of the game, an upgrade that will provide 55 pieces of additional DLC for free.

“This weekly scheduled content will include in-game Events, Challenges, Avatar Items, Dynamic Themes and Behind-the-Scenes videos, as well as bonus Mutations for PROTOTYPE 2′s main campaign.

Fans that participate in ALL of RADNET’s weekly challenges and events will unlock the ultimate shape-shifting reward…to be revealed in March 2012. PROTOTYPE 2′s RADNET Edition content will only be available for free while supplies last.”

As many are likely to point out, the model of rewarding your fan base as opposed to punishing used game buyers is just more sensible. If you give a gamer the choice between a $60 game that comes with 55 free DLC downloads, and a $40-$50 game that doesn’t, I’m confident that most will lean towards the new copy.

So I just realized how bullshit this radnet edition shit is.

Each of the 55 additional content is pretty much one of the side challenges the original game offered. The worst part about it is that each one unlocks on a specific date so I could go through the entire game right now with a whopping 3 side challenges............

This is such a bullshit ploy. If you want to offer them only to new game buyers, fine, I'll deal with it but at least give me access to all of that content right away. Can't do the last ones or get the Alex Mercer skin until June 7th. So fucking dumb.

I don't know. Can't unlock it until everything in my game is fucking unlocked on June 7th. Yes, I have buyer's remorse. It's one thing to have new copy exclusive stuff. Its entirely another to have that exclusive stuff just be challenges that came with the first game AND have them be locked until a certain date and then call it "continual additional content."

Like, you know the side missions in Assassins Creed? It'd be the same as them releasing those a few at a time every few days and claiming they added content to the game. I'm so pissed. I would've just waited until june to buy the game for cheap and buy the content for like 5-10 bucks than buying it at full price right now.

Have this on my gamefly queue, should I take it off? lol I never could finish the first one just because of how repetitive it got. Infiltrate base, suck up leader, use console, rinse repeat or Kill Hive, rinse repeat.

Oh, well yeah. Again, AC analogy works. It's improved as much as Revelations was from Brotherhood. It's a bit more refined then the last one. It felt like it's trying to be more like Infamous while still letting your powers still be a lot crazier.
