Based on common complaints I see about the newer Final Fantasy games and things people praise about the older ones (which are considered the to be godlike compared to the newest entries) I'm trying to build a list of things that need to be in what could quite possibly be the greatest Final Fantasy the world will ever see.
-We have to make sure the characters do not look realistic.
-Add a fair number of quirky non-human characters to the cast and make sure they have very little storyline relevance but let them have their one badass moment.
-There will be little-to-no character growth and we'll make all males gary stus and all females into mary sues halfway through the game for no explainable reason.
-The villain should not have reasonable motives for wanting to 'take over the world' or 'destroy the world' (the villain should not have any other goal than one of these two.)
-Your avatar character MUST be the main focus of the game, you cannot simply be a small part of the unfolding events, you must be the one to incite every major development in the entire game.
-The final boss should receive a sudden, unexplained power-up at the end or the final boss should be a random unexplained monster/god.
-The battle system should be the exact same as the ATB introduced in FFIV, also... no job classes. (While many people do enjoy FFV's job system I see a lot more people express that they prefer games like FFIV and FFIX where you do not have any choice.) Haven't decided what to do with the actual growth system but we have to make sure it's not like anything that's been done in the Final Fantasy series before.
-Music by Nobuo Uematsu is a must
