Dress shirt advice

Just echoing what other people have said. Express is the way to go for shirts like you want.

Shirt and tie? I know you're skinnier, can't remember your face shape but if it's thin, go with a spread collar with a nice Windsor

H&M sells good shirts. The collar spread is designed for a skinnier tie, so don't go throwing in some 80's power tie with a double Windsor knot.

You can always buy a shirt and have it darted. Tailors/seamstresses can do this easily and it shouldn't be too expensive. If you've got access to a sewing machine it's not all that hard to do yourself. However, darted shirts can be pretty obvious and they can't get rid of excess material in the sleeves or around the armpits.

I wouldn't wear a skinny knot like a four in hand with a wide spread collar at all. totally accentuates the lines and doesn't work.

Arrow Sateen Fitted shirts are awesome. Great for me being tall and skinny, where normal cut dress shirts suck.

If you'r slim, H&M will be too big for you, in general, Spanish, Italian and French stores have smaller sizes, however, my bf is very slim and shirts at Zara are too wide for him regardless. The best store we've found so far is Bertoni, but their online store doesn't deliver outside EU.

Also, some stores have an option to get good shirts custom made. It costs a bit more, but if you want a perfect fit it's well worth it.

It really depends. I bought some stuff from there, pretty much you get what you pay for. Bought a 100 coat that was pretty good quality and a 20 dollar button up that was made out of really thin material. Looked nice though. Also, I can never wash any of the clothes in the washing machine because it'll shrink or fall apart. I have to use some at-home dry cleaning cloth like dryell to clean all the clothes I bought at that site.
