Start > Right click My Computer > Manage > Device Manager > Display Adapter > Right Click Update Software.

If it doesn't work for some reason, go to ATI's website and dl their drivers.

saying that my vga adaptor is up to date :/ doesnt show my ATI anywhere on device manager screen. ATI isant installed anywhere on the compter so i tried to install it. Keep getting an error saying:

Setup was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware or software configuration. Please make sure you have the required hardware or software.

Might have downloaded the 32x instead of 64x by accident, dling the 64x atm to see if this is the problem or not.

update: Just got ATI installed but not really sure waht to do now, when i try to install legacy drivers still gives me same error

This guy is having same problem: http://forums.cnet.com/7723-19411_102-347614.html

Solution that keeps seeming to come up is "Download drivers form manufactures site" I go to ATI website and they just reroute me to alienware myhive... which has no drviers for my card "ATI X1800"

I went to AMD's website but I get an error, there's nothing in their archives to dl. Which ver. of 7 did you install, 86x or 64? If it's 64, you may want to read this. Sadly, I going out so hopefully someone else can help you out or better yet that you solve your problem.

Problem was that the link you provide told me to download the modder and new loader... Didnt know i had to download another portion of the file. Once i did that actally had somewhere to replace the old loader with new one and worked like charm.. took 50 seconds. Again thanks a ton!

Sounds like you're missing the video driver. Are you using Windows 7? If so run the Windows updates and under optional updates you should see the latest video driver.

Edit: Pull up the Start menu and type wuapp or Win+R and type it there, that'll get you to Windows updates if you didn't already figure that out.
