    If you watched the interviews they dont care about history much besides the general idea. Interesting thing I heard while watching the dvd extras is that the guy that captures Spartacus is the general who they sent first to fight him after the escape from the ludus. The creators wrote him in as his captor to make the showdown in next season more personal. I have a feeling Gannicus will get the axe, it all probably plays a part in shaping Crixus as the "perfect gladiator" he is in blood and sand.

    If you have Netflix, you can stream the episodes to your PS3/PC free as early as the day after, maybe same night (not sure, haven't tried).

    At first I thought he was dancing with it and then he lit that shit on fire. Really, really unexpected turn of events throughout the finale. I had like 4 different ways of things turning out going through my head as the show progressed.

    yea i was really wondering what they were going to tie together gannicus' exit, crixus becoming champion, and asher's leg injuries. i was very pleased with the way they handled everything.

    Sorry, Classics major here... If I'm not mistaken, Gannicus wasn't well known in the history of Spartacus and his rebellion. I'm gonna assume they will bring him back somehow, but how? To come and aid his friend Oenomaus?

    Also can't wait for Season 2. We'll get to see Spartacus and his army fight Glaber, Crassus, and maybe get a peak at Pompey (he didn't do much, but I think it'd be a cool cameo for us Classics geeks

    Actually this sets up alot of possibilities for drama in season 2. Gannicus + Oenamaus meet up together, Lucy Lawless I hear survives end of season 1 so what if she somehow sent the word out to Oenamaus that Gannicus fucked his wife and she died when she was with him? Just speculating but yeah...
