It's a strange year to be a Seahawks fan. They're really no better than they were last year, and Hasselbeck is a truck rolling downhill with his brake lines cut. Clipboard Jesus looked good in garbage time against the Falcons, but I think Hasselbeck gives them a better chance to win now. Normally, if you're 6-8, this is rebuilding mode, and now's a good time to give the backup QB a chance to earn his stripes. However, in the terrible NFC West, they're still very much alive in the playoff race, with a very real chance to host a playoff game and get blown out by the Saints or Giants. So I'm rooting for getting a playoff berth, while still considering this largely a rebuilding year. Furthermore, if they do make the playoffs, it will probably be at 7-9 and the only time with losing record to ever make the playoffs, which isn't necessarily something you want to be known for. It's a strange feeling.
