    Laptop AC adapter.

Ok, so I'm looking on amazon for a replacement adapter for my laptop.

The one that came with my laptop is a Delta Electronics ADP-90SB BB

Now, when I look up that model, it comes with a bunch of different results, but I have an MSI. It's giving me things like Gateway and Acer. Do I specifically need one that says MSI, or as long as I stay true to the model of ADP-90SB BB, should I be fine?

Nah, you don't need the same model. Just make sure you have the same imput/output voltages and the same connection type. For example, my og $100 Vaio power brick died on me a few weeks ago; I replaced it w/ one that was a buck twenty-five from Amazon. Same specs and connection type. Just check if your model is supported.

Just to be sure, would this work then?

It's relatively cheap and the only one I can get by Saturday for 4 bucks extra (<3 amazon prime)

Any recommendation as to where you get yours from? And where on the model do I check the connection type? I was looking on the back for a size and couldn't find one

    Edit:
    "# Input : AC 100-240V ~ 2.5A 50/60Hz - Output : DC 19V, 4.7A, 90W"
From the one I'm looking at on Amazon

    Mine is
    INPUT: 100-240V~ 1.5A, 50-60Hz
    OUTPUT: 19V 4.74A 90W

If the one you get has the correct output but not the same/badly molded connection, just chop the ends off and wire nut + tape the splice.

Input shouldn't matter, that's the current it draws from the power plug. Output is what's important here.

Don't kill me if it frys your laptop though.

I'm not sure if it helps or not but most laptops will give you an indication if you have the wrong or a bad power supply connected when it boots up. My work laptop (a dell) would give me a double beep before starting anything and ask me to correct a proper power supply. The original power supply wouldn't charge the battery but it would sit there and run off of power all day.

I went ahead and got one that matches mine spec for spec just to be safe. Getting it a few days early just not worth the risk
