So according to people who have watched the early release, there is a HUGE plot twist in the movie. Not sure what it is, and not really wanting to find out until I watch the movie haha. Just a heads up!

What is a b-roll?
B-roll is outtakes, behind the scenes, shit like that.
Body can't handle.
Iron Man 3 makes The Avengers look like a lesser movie.
That's all I will say.
Expect epic.
hnnngg don't you dare hype this up any more, I don't want unrealistic expectations
Believe for once. BELIEVE.
I am an Iron Man fan at heart. I see no flaws in this movie.
I'm not gonna go in expecting this to top Avengers. Just expecting it to be great.
Spoiler: show
It can be but it is also stuff to cut into other scenes. It can be used in the editing process to bridge scenes together or to fill time between two scenes.
As for Iron Man 3 being better than the Avengers...I expect it to be different. Joss Whedon said he wants Avengers 2 to be deeper and more personal and that is what I am expecting from Iron Man 3.
http://geektyrant.com/news/2013/4/22...nking-iss.htmlFor some reason, a lot of fans are interested in Marvel exploring Iron Man's "Demon in a Bottle" comic book storyline. Favreau kind of touched on the subject in Iron Man 2, but Marvel wasn't interested in revisiting Tony Stark's hard drinking issues in the third movie. In a recent interview with Comic Book Movie, Iron Man 3 director Shane Black was asked what Iron Man storyline the studio axed, and this is what he had to say,
Stark's alcoholism is too dark for the Marvel and Disney movie brand. The drinking. Even if you look at the websites of the mommy bloggers they say, you know, 'Watch out, mom's! Tony drinks in this movie!' It's amazing. There's one or two scenes in this movie where he picks up a drink and it'll be in those blogs...
I think we were just told by the studio that we should probably paint Tony Stark as being kind of an industrialist and a crazy guy, or even a bad guy at some points, but the Demon in a Bottle stuff of him being an alcoholic wouldn't really fly. I don't blame that.

Don't know if anybody else has seen this, but we cancelled all shows of Iron Man for now. I'm thinking Disney might actually blink first but who knows.
Basically, Disney wants a bigger piece of the ticket sales
I had a feeling that this would happen after Disney Studios started distributing their own movies instead of relying on Paramount to negotiate with the theater chains. If I remember correctly, most studios go for an 80/20 revenue split (80% for studios, 20% for the theater chains) for the opening weekend and then the ratios balance out to 50/50 over the course of the films run. This is obviously why theaters charge so much for food/drinks as this is where they are making their money.
When Phantom Menace came out, George Lucas negotiated to get 100% of the ticket sales for the first two weeks of the run, so the movie chains made zero money off the actual movie itself until the 3rd week. My guess is that Disney is trying to do the same thing and get either a 90/10 split or 100% of the ticket sales but AMC is not letting that fly.
Dissappointed that they've shied away from demon in the bottle. One of the (old) main differences between dc and marvel were that marvel superheros weren't perfect, they have "mo money, mo problems". spiderman's boss is a dick, ff have family problems, banner needs some anger management and tony stark likes to get saucy.
The IM2 drinking stuff was a good build up to it. Seems like they could have brought m.a.d.d. on board to deal with nagging moms or whatever. Alcoholism could be dealt with in some serious way.

Regarding the ticket sales, yeah I went to Fandango to purchase a bunch of tickets for midnight release, no go. I went to the box office and found out this is why. Now I have to drive 30+ minutes away, or go to a run-down theater, or wait in line.
Wait, this is starting to sound like the First World Problems thread.....but seriously it's annoying, I want my tickets!
I just read a spoiler about Mandarin in the movie that is simply beyond retarded. I mean, why would they even decide to do this?Spoiler: show
