Issue with dualboxing ffxi on win7

    Hey,

So I have to run most of my windows 7 things in admin mode for some reason. When I have to open another program that I already have always opening in admin mode it crashes the first. So for example I can't start vent while running windower, nor can I start up windower while I have another instance already running, making dboxing impossible.

Any ideas or advice on how to fix this?

    Thanks

Do you have more than one monitor?

Having multiple things running in administrator mode shouldn't crash multiple instances of that program. In your windower GUI, make sure you have True Fullscreen off.

Do you have UAC still on? You don't need to turn it off totally which will work, but you need to lower it so that it doesn't dim the screen (that dark overlay thing) iirc it is called secure desktop.

Edit Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts > change user account control settings > lower it to the 2nd last notch.
