I'm not sure what the limit is for partition size on PS2 is, it may be 8 GB. I know it has to be multiples of 128 MB, so that's the minimum.
The HDD has plenty of free space, the game itself is filling its compartment, which it doesn't share with POL Viewer.
This is the first I've heard of such a thing. AFAIK, the files for FFXI on the PS2 HDD were only made accessible by a version of ULaunchELF that was released on PSX-Scene early this year. None of the homebrew coders and hackers on that site had managed to access the HDD game files for modification before.
I've been seeding the DAT files I ripped from the HDD in March ever since, and nobody has come back to me saying that they've figured out how to use any of the files except macros.
I'm pretty sure all the botters and such are on PC.
