Superb.
Looks damn nice, as per anticipated.
I assume Guildwork will also support FFXIV within the year?
so can I get in on this beta? lol I wanna use this xD
Guildwork is in a state of public preview. This means that anyone can use Guildwork and its features to their full current potential for free. It will stay as such until the Alpha and Beta phases are completed.
The majority of the websites features will remain free after release. Some will become limited to those users and guilds with premium accounts (this is better explained here).
Public Preview
I would like to stress that Guildwork will be completely wiped before launch to remove all development artifacts as with a beta of a MMO. So it is not advised to use the forums or blog for your linkshell, however DKP should be safe to use because it is possible to export it and then import again. I will be sending out an e-mail to all members 1 week before launch with the exact time Guildwork will go down for launch preparation and that should give plenty of time to backup all your data.
Really coming along!
As a bonus, the chat is now working again.Kidding, kidding.
When creating a guild, what do i put on subdomain?(english isnt main language, so some stuff hard to understand for me XD)

Creating a guild will change soon, sorry about it being so messy at the moment.

I like it, its got a few hoops you need to jump through to set everything up properly, but in the end it presents itself very professionally, great site, I'll definitely look forward to your final release and to your premium subscription possibly if the final product becomes easier to use.

Ok set my DKP up lol check it out.
How do I register bugs? Using Firefox 3.6.8 I can't hit enter when adding items to events - it doesn't do anything so am unable to add.
I'd like to test this out with a sack. Looks great so far. Where do I find instructions on how to add people in? He's found the guild (serendipity) and applied (I enabled apps) and his app has been approved. A message flashed up saying he's joined the guild but I don't see him in the members. We've tried this twice so far. Am I missing something? If there's a good place to go to read all this crap, please point me at itand if you'd rather I posted questions on the forum, just yell.
I've been the super admin on two different fora so far so a lot of this makes sense. We don't currently use guildportal's dkp cos it annoys me but I get the idea.
Hello Everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself – I'm Asmo from the aforementioned Apocalypse Linkshell. I've been working closely with Stan over the previous month as he’s helped us(me) port over our system to guildwork’s DKP.
Stan briefly covered our previous implementation, but to put it in to more detail – We had two Excel spreadsheets covering 2+ years worth of Attendance and Auction data. Our linkshell does not run a typical DKP, but a simple Bid/Auction style.
Despite not being a standard DKP model, Apoc was able to import all of our data into Guildwork and create custom logic to allow it to function. As of this writting, the DKP is fully operational for us. It’s cleaner, its faster, easier to manage, and enables our members to make their own bids themselves. Best of all – I don’t have to worry about members having Excel.
Guildwork has completely transformed our linkshell’s point system and made it much easier on us. Even if you do not run a standard DKP model, the system is higly customizable. There is a bit of programming that would be involved in a custom DKP, but I do not profess to be a programming genius and was able to do it quite easily. That’s not to say I didn’t have one or two problems (I was also helping Stan knock out some bugs!), but I also did not have any documentation to go by.
To anyone interested in Guildwork’s DKP:
If you plan on making a Custom DKP, I recommend that you read up on the Documentation page above, as well as familarize yourself with javascript, JSON, Highcharts and the date.js, jlinq.js and underscore.js librarys. It sounds like a lot, but it really isn’t. As Guildwork develops and better references are created, I can easily see just about anyone able to create any Custom DKP they desire.
Good Luck!
