Amazing how Pchan got people so worked up about this on AH forums.. lol
I have a question, just so I understand right. It's basically a "beta" of it and once it's past Jan. 1st people would have to pay for those slots, right? Or is it anyone who signs up for it before Jan. 1st gets it free period?
For those of you that have yet to use Guildwork or do not read FFXIAH I wanted to share with you a new feature at Guildwork thats in beta.
Scragg of FFXIAH made a post about it:
http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/17...lient/#1044560
Features
- Streams your achievements in real-time to friends on GW.
- Update your character's FFXIAH bazaar automatically.
- Update job and craft levels (including synergy) on GW and FFXIAH.
- Update equipment and titles. (This will resolve the missing equipment issue on the LSC)
- Check AH price history and stock via FFXIAH.com's database.
- Realtime chat from in game to the guildwork website and vice versa.
- Upload screenshots to GW with a single command (url placed directly in clipboard).
Install
- Download
- Put GuildworkClient.exe in its own folder because it will download some files it needs to run.
- Right click it and run as administrator. (not required on Windows XP)
- Login using your Guildwork email and password.
- Check out the command list http://www.guildwork.com/forum/t/4cf...ffxi-commands/
If you don't trust it don't download it. I will not be giving out source code, but if it makes anyone feel any better then owner of FFXIAH (Scragg) has access to the source.

Been using this for a few days and it's awesome. Many thanks for all the work you guys put into the stuff you're doing with guildwork, it's much appreciated.
Wow, I had a similar idea about a week ago for something like this (No idea how long you've been working on this, I just decided last night to reinstall). One suggestion: you're going to want to read commands from memory in some later version, this lets you get around the bogus 7 word limit. The way I structured this like a year ago for an IRC plugin was "/1", "/2", etc. for channels, and "/." for reply, mainly because it was fast and easy to hit, and also partly because of the correlation to "the directory path I'm currently on". I believe there's a way to get <CTRL> + . (or whatever) to auto input a "/m <name> " into the chat too, working just like <CTRL> + r does in normal FFXI, that's what I was working on when I quit.
I'm pretty sure you're already adept at doing this, but if I can help let me know, I think you still have me on AIM?
Anyway, great job! Looks like something I'll definitely use in the future.
Thanks!
Starhawk from the Windower team offered to help and fix those things we had to deal with while using Windower Helper. So hopefully when he has time we can push a new version out with the changes.
This is awesome, much thanks.
Very nice, love looking up ffxiah with a command![]()
While this is something I probably won't use, the appreciation is still there for anyone doing development for FFXI add-ons. I suspect that at some point you'll update with a feature that I'll have to have, and grab a copy. As it stands, it sounds pretty interesting and I look forward to new commands being added.
so proud of you bbg <3
Since Scragg says it's ok, I registered to guildwork and wanted to start using it. I probably messed up, but I registered via "facebook login" and now I can't authenticate on Guildwork Client because I don't know what username/password should I use.
I already tried my email and my facebook password but it is not working, how can I solve it?
Figures there's a solution if I search for more than 30 seconds lol
From Guildwork site help:
It's on the TODO list but for now if you want to login to the Guildwork Client. Go to settings and unlink your third-party login and it will force you to set a Guildwork password, then you can simply re-link your account back to the third party site.
When you log through 3rd party APIs, it doesn't create an account per se (at least I don't think), you need to login using the same API again. So click that FB/Gmail icon and login using FB/Gmail account. That's how I've been doing with Twitter login :s
Edit: right, client, was talking about site sorryyyy
Duh! It was so simple... thanks!
This is a very useful command, thanks!
Downloaded just for the AH client. Awesome!
What is the name of the person in tells then (xera) Afterwards?
That question is retardedly put, I am sorry I don't know how to word what I want to know exactly.
Is it a plugin? That gives the person a nickname? Or is it part of the OP and their name on FFXIAH? I am confused but intrigued.
