Should I keep these or keep spamming notes til I get dmg/crit? I'll probably try to get Taurine as soon as possible so these are just to tide me over til I can get people to do Indrik.

Yes. Just keep spamming them. Nothing else to use notes on besides base pieces, and you'll be getting plenty on the way to 90 anyways [as well as a little bit of gil for whatever.] They'll be fine on a new char until you can find something better.

Tweaking some sets for DRK and using Catastrophe, can someone tell me which of the following options is best, and (if possible) the margin of difference between them, bearing in mind Catastrophe's batshit stupid INT/AGI +40% mod:

Head: Twilight Helm versus Champion's Galea (with WS DMG +2% / AGI & STR +4 / WS Acc+15)
Body: Grim Cuirass / Twilight Mail (currently, using an Adaberk for WS)
Hands: Brute Gauntlets (STR + 8 / AGI + 3 / Acc -15 / Attack +5)

I think I'm fairly well situated on my other pieces. I use Empyrean +2 for legs and feet, spiral/rajas for rings, and have the corresponding belt/gorget for other pieces. But if there's anything else via augment or whatnot that might be better, I'm open to suggestion.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but as always, I appreciate any help people can impart here on making my DRK more efficient (aside from "level MNK" -- done ages ago).

@ the ddex thing for outside abyssea, won't most 75 content mobs be much easier to cap ddex on and still require some added dex?

Yeah but what exactly you doing from 75 content that is worth to make a build for? everything is so squishy that it doesn't really matter. Unless you maybe want to lowman something under some time restriction, but what would it be?

Killing trash mobs under a time restriction? Gee, I don't think they ever made any events like that. Considering the extent of your changes is like legs -> byakko and ring -> dex, yeah it is worth doing for dynajar.

Why not use a capped ddex build for outside abyssea stuff if you already have the gear like most people? If you use spellcast, it swaps automatically so it's not like it's a big deal.
