Because they both operate in percents and thus 50+50 is 100... I even said "unless they are calculated separately." I haven't looked at the complete formulas so I wasn't sure how they were calculated.

Like I meant to imply, that wasn't intended to be as douchey as it probably sounded, I'm just shocked that anyone in the Wiki age(or anyone who knows we couldn't kill AV for several years) could think that was possible.
I would certainly fucking hope not. Maybe if you were going to Byakko, but the run from book to Suzaku is like, 4-5 minutes at worst. Setup should be 2 minutes, tops. Kill shouldn't really be more than 10 minutes unless you're kiting. Also, get FoV prot/shell/refresh and sub BLU? I'd think cocoon/autoregen would increase your survivability more than whatever you had planned to sub for shell2 (RDM?).

i didnt do the detailed math but it gives 21-22% tp and fudo gives 16%
5-hits with VV or Carbonara, doesn't otherwise.
I'm not a laptop scientist so I'm trying to compare Alienware to HP to Macbook for overall in terms of quality vs price, my budget is like $700-800.
Alienware:
Processor
* Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo SU7300 (1.3GHz/800Mhz FSB/3MB cache)
Memory
* 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 800MHz
Chipset
* Mobile Intel® GS45 Chipset
Video Card
* 1024MB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT335M
HP
Processor
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-390M Dual Core Processor (2.66 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache)
Memory
3GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
Video Card
1GB Radeon(TM) HD 6470M DDR3 Graphics [HDMI, VGA]
For a gaming computer the Alienware processor looks weak to me. I'm not a laptop scientist but 2.66 GHz> 1.3 GHz no?
Refresh isn't/shouldn't be an issue. But yeah at that point it'll be phalanx/barfire vs. cocoon in which /blu should outweight /rdm. Also, I wasn't sure how long it would take to kill it. I played back in the 75 cap so I wasn't exactly sure of the strength of characters yet.
The gearsets don't factor abyssea atma because we were thinking up a set that works both inside and outside of abyssea. The atma choices however would be VV/RR/Apoc, and I'm sure less Store TP could be used for TP when VV is in use... I'm just uncertain as to how much less.
I think people are forgetting there are multiple FoV books scattered all around sky, it shouldn't take more than 2 mins to get from book -> ???.
As far as the sub, /RDM gives MDB II, barfire/phalanx (weak as they may be) and Dia/Bio II (significant). It's more utility overall and better defense against the thing most likely to kill you (CS). You can also choose to use refresh rather than FoV refresh and enwater for giggles if you want. Ice spikes would be a great boon if not for this being Suzu.
Both subs give dispel but idk if Blank gaze gets the stupid high acc rate of other dispel skills (it probably does).
Blank gaze on DRG/BLU is horribly inaccurate. I was fairly excited when we first got it subbed, but it's pretty close to worthless. Also, DRG might have some issue successfully casting a spell with a cast time as long as refresh. You'll get interrupted by just about anything, and even with /rdm fast cast and all the fast cast gear drg can wear I don't think you could time it between hits. But if you have an Ethereal earring you probly won't even need refresh, beyond maybe FoV or ares/twilight, maybe.
Would be fairly easy to cast fresh when he casts I'd imagine but like I said it's a choice really, not a significant improvement given the cheapness of wyvern cures.
Head Butt spam during chainspell, aside from triggering your breaths, could also reduce the total amount of spells it lands. I'd think having less spells with more space in between them would be a bigger upgrade to survivability than 12 MDB. The actual stun effect is inaccurate, sure, but it also allows for random lucky interrupts on non-chainspelled spells.
Good point. His cast time would give you plenty to cast refresh. That reminds me of another trick I used when soloing Ghrahs back at 75. If you're quick, it's possible to cast blink when you see a T4~ type nuke coming and have it resolve before the nuke does. Blink seems to have a pretty high rate of catching spells compared to melee hits.
BLU magic accuracy corresponds with BLU skill. HB might land because of the ridiculous magic accuracy on stun in general, but that might not be the case here (Especially ince HB is Stun-1).
