Black Belt for WS is just an option for V. Smiters without Beir Belt (+1). I believe even Warwolf Belt is better than it for Ascetic's Fury.

Relic WS isn't good either, it's mainly just about the stats on the club itself. Empyreon has second best DMG rating.

Cant you just change to merit mode and stay there or if you cap merits does it start to add into your exp?

You have to be on exp mode to get exp... -- I thought these days everyone just kept it on exp and still had 20/20 merits with nothing left.

Yes, modes auto switch when capped; although I have never tested capping limit to switch to exp.

Empyrean is good, relic is just better because regardless of the weapon, spamming Hexa Strike will result in the best damage, not triggering aftermath with a WS that does no damage. Mystic Boon is likely better for MP recovery. Dagan recovers both HP and MP.

Ah ok, well then the setup you guys have set is fine. WS belt can change to beir(+1)/Anguinus belt when attack is still relevant.

With that setup in abyssea you can get away with Apoc/RR/A&O combo. As you dont need the regain for a 5hit.

As far as how much sTP gear to remove during anytime you do go with the vv/rr/apoc route would depend on your haste buffs, As you can remove less when you have full haste buffs vs just gear/hasso/haste as haste buffs where your swings are slower and the tics average more per tp round.

Are you sure about this? I recall forgetting to change back to exp mode after capping merits. Fairly sure exp > limit works, but limit > exp does not auto force.

False. If you are not capped on exp and switch to merit mode, you will not auto-switch to exp when you cap merits. You continue to get "Phoenyx earned X limit points" messages, but it's just wasted.

Molva Maul is quickest by far and has a respectable 65 dmg. Empyrean is Fistule > Bukhis, so despite Fistule being by far the easiest of any 80 empy weapon mobs the 2nd stage probably not worth the hassle of getting one. Canne+2 has the next best damage at 71 but there's a couple of annoying parts to the trial, primarily walk of echoes coins.

For offhand the magian OAT club has surprisingly high base damage, think it's 58, not 100% on that, but again the VNM stage is mildly annoying and you'll probably have to farm daybreak souls yourself from Bastion since I never see them for sale. Other than that perhaps Winged Mace? Has a not so great 46 dmg but also a lot lower delay at 216 compared to the 340 on OAT.

I was thinking of removing the fat guy from the sig pretty sure the joke is lost on most. And if you are doing whm for proc'n you might want to consider OA2-3/OA2-4 or store TP/whatever.
