If it follows normal NM trial kills, I can confirm that you do get credit when dead and do not when out of exp range. Former happened to me, latter happened to a friend who needed a Fuerenke kill and was just out of range on the kill.

north or south? i think south pops with 1 fully unlocked and north pops with 3 unlocks but of course south doesn't drop shiz

Just killed it with the help of a rdm friend, of all the times it used horn while I was solo, lowest damage I took was 2652 (survived with 6 hp). When rdm friend got there horns did only 1.4~1.7k, even tho it was hitting only one person. Probably just random. And also, mantle and owleyes are blue drops? Thought mantle was 100% so didn't even bother with TH/Blue... just to get hachimaki'd. ><

Yeah, I always had fully merited Shellra V on. As for the drops, neither one are particularly high. In 5 kills (two blue) I've only seen one mantle and have yet to see the Owleyes.

orichalcumshell in mount Z (far west island, i suggest running through greater colibri camp to get there) around lvl 89. I personally used them to get 290+ staff on monk (for cata) + whm duo. Just don't camp near the "hut" as undead spawn there at night.
I have been told there are also some 93+ crabs somewhere in Vunkerl, but I have not looked as I got what I wanted from the above.

You have bad luck. It's a pretty standard drop rate in my experience. Tactical Mantle ~50-60% with TH, Owleyes ~10% without Blue.

How hard is Indrik? Lowman easy/medium/hard? Are the h2h the blue drop?

H2H is the blue drop. People will tell you he's hard, but really the key to the fight is just speed. Friends trioed him NIN+THF+RDM.

The more times he uses Damsel Momento, the harder his Spear will hit. You can dodge the spear if you run through him at exactly the right time, but you need to be careful that he doesn't wheel around and use it on your healers. I imagine that you could use Arthar's strafing strategy and the big cliff by the buffalo pop to pretty much do this automatically, but it would be an annoying fight. Probably duoable though.

Indrik is also counterable >.> The only other ixion type mob that I've fought was in vunkerl for ambusher hose, but all his melee attacks counted as TP moves. Indrik doesn't exhibit the same behaviour though, if that matters. Just has moderate evasion, so pizza/sushi is recommended.

How does Restraint work?

Same question regarding AF3+2 hands.

Retraint gives a WS damage bonus based on the number of times you hit with your weapon and its delay. AF3+2 hands doubles the benefit of restraint.

I basically take away that (with a 6-hit GA) you'd expect ~+5% WS damage without the mufflers and +~10% WS damage with the mufflers.

I would *guess* that they're probably worth using, especially if you can get your hands on Zelus Tiara.

Duriumshells are in Vunkerl [S] - H-7 if I recall, they don't aggro or link, and there are a ton of them. An elemental pops there, but I think it's Too Weak at 90.

Alright uhh.. there's gunna be like rapid fire fail in is one so, bare with me.

I decided to grab FFXI ultimate collection (2010) for my totally-not-gaming laptop, just to have a backup because my PS2 is probably going to explode soon. Since my internet connection is also massive lol, I've got a 9 hours and 30 minute wait for 20k files. I'm just wondering if I hit cancel, if I can just pick up where I left off later/tomorrow/etc?
