Yeah downloading. Check files was about 10 minutes. Was doing this through the Play > Check version, not the POL check files.

Cleave, farm NMs when you get down to just needing a couple KIs so you don't waste time/floor KIs.

i would say if you are only going for glavoid pops and not chloris to KI farm, cleaving is just so infuriatingly random. fuck you temp items, fuck you 3hp wivre gorgets, fuck you lacovie KI's

If you can get a group of ~10, have a few cleaving for time/KI's/leeching and the rest going around farming pops. My LS has done this and it lets people leech jobs up, hold pop sets, and if you aren't getting KI's from boxes, you're still getting them from popping the lesser nms (and some light gil for the other drops).

Lacoive KIs wouldn't be bad as I still need a Goading to round out my 5hit set; but that's really secondary to the shells at this point since I'm so far away. Would a WAR and a WHM be able to handle all the NMs, if a stuck a couple people cleaving? Adze is really the only one I'm worried about as a WAR.

It really depends on the amount of actual help (vs. afk bodies/no help) you will have at your disposal and your personal resources as far as dual/triboxes.

Maybe it was just shitty luck, but manual farming KI was a tad bit faster during my glavoid stage than cleaving (I had me and one more person 100% of the way and 2-4 other non-afk people help at random times). As has been said, a mix of both will probably be best. Try out both, see how your luck is, do what's best for you. With the new repop timers on NMs I don't think there's that much of a difference on KI/hour if you go about manual farming efficiently.

Regarding cleaving, I found either cleaving or going straight up farming from NM about similar. After cleaving, you can sell your chloris buds to someone on your server (I'm sure there will be buyers), and rack up on lacovie pop for your ls.

If I find myself able to set aside a good chunk of time, I'm going to cleave since that makes some good gil as well as being able to get other pops (for friends, or for gil). If I don't have much time to spare (say 2 hours max or so), then straight up doing the NM will be more time efficient for me.
