Well I was hoping to use the strat they said on the drg forum (find out weakness, proc, brew, kill) but on thief. Just wondering how, if they get the correct blue message they survived to try the others without brewing already. They must just pop brew and then try the other WSs once they find out it is the right blue weapon...
Still curious if you can proc a weakness on claiming action. Anyone know?


Another question: What are the best mobs to farm amber/pearl/blue in konschat?

I've done that twice on THF now trying for armor. If I get dagger message or lucky early blue then I brew up. I go THF/SAM and can get 3 WS in before I die with a either perfect dodge or fanatic's drink/powder. Without any of those three you can still do 2 WS before you die. Once you've used brew and you weren't under 100 HP you won't die. Also Apoc atma makes where you die irrelevant since you can survive 1 swing each time and inch towards the edge of the battlefield. If you don't I'd just inch towards it until it aggros, then take 2 steps back and let it come to you. It shouldn't draw-in during that time.

Is there a place where people can go to look for higher end gear sets. People used to post a ton on the "post your gear thread", or KI / Alla, but not many posts of upper level gear sets are being made anymore. What site are people using to post their gear sets for study. Its nice to have an idea of what to work for / find small corrections to improve.

How much Store TP does VV atma work out to be? Tried checking FFXICalc but there's no listing for VV under atma, trying to figure out how much STP it accounts for a 466 delay weapon(if anyone has a site that actually accounts for this a link would be appreciated too)

It depends how many Regain ticks you assume. Generally ~2 is safe if you want a 100% x-hit build, in my opinion (~9 seconds between WSs minimum). So 2 ticks of 2 is about 4 STP, but realistically you should just build towards 96 instead of 100.

In the three times i've brewed it, Transcendancy has never been dispelled when everything else has been. That probably isn't much help considering the sample size, but meh.

I'm not absolutely sure, but I seem to recall it being stated in one of the threads that a claiming action can't proc weakness, where the person reporting claimed a mob with a spell and didn't proc, but that same spell again later did proc. Could be wrong, hearsay, grain of salt, etc.

A bit off the norm but an honest question none the less: how many leaders actually still run ls events or for that matter operate in a traditionally structured ls anymore?

My curiosity stems purely from the fact that Abyssea (and level raise caps in general for all existing content), as we all know, has made 95% of the game doable w/ 6 and often less. I guess we were really seeing signs of this progression even prior to abyssea; multiple players on this board were doing much of the available content with as few players as possible. However, Abyssea really opened the flood gates for ruthless amounts of efficiency from the higher end of the playerbase.

So with the question and its background stated, thoughts?

Yes it definitely made me go from 6 hit to 5 hit with needing near 20 STP.

In response to thf and drg solo shin for blue, why not just go mnk/war and bring a whm/thf for th2 (could get th4 with atma and aug belt) and hexa if unlucky.

I can pop brew look for weakness and proc weakness and kill before brew wears, heck on my last shin I had to wait through meteor x4 spam and 12 seconds of terror and still downed with blue proc.
