smn hits 87~ pdt with ducal guard now so with the 12% pdt staff they should be able to hit 99-100% pdt right?

Considering they emergency-patched it when it was uncapped, I'd bet big money on the total cap being 87.50% now.

Is ZNM Claret hard? I have never done it even though I have done a boatload of ZNM before, but always Ob or BB for that path. I checked wiki and most of the discussions were from a couple years ago. Can blm or rdm solo it? and what's the drop rate on the necklace like? Thank you.

Not particularly but he's certainly annoying. Potent poison and spams status effects and stuff. His pop area isn't great either unless you clear a path beforehand; lots of slimes mean that even though you can kite it, you're almost guaranteed to aggro a bunch.

It's not that tough, just I'd recommend clearing an area first.

EDIT: Also went 1/1 on it with TH4.

Can't help so much for BLM, but drop minuet merits for BRD and make it Finale. Much more useful for mobs that spam buff-stealing moves in abyssea.

What's the likelyhood of me getting a Twilight Belt by soloing Shinryu with a brew? I only really have cruor for three runs, but don't wanna blow it all if it's going to be a wasted effort.

It's going to be a wasted effort most likely without Blue at the minimum+TH. Even the Torque while common, only drops like 2/3 of the time last I checked if you don't have TH or blue. The other drop rates are so abysmal I wouldn't bother wasting cruor.

I'd argue against this. There is plenty of -song delay and Haste gear for Bard. -Delay merits only decrease the amount of it you have to use to hit recast cap. You want more gear flexibility on the less accurate spell, so stick with Lullaby recast merits.

Well considering brd isn't going to be singing minuet unless they're second bard in a zerg or for a Rng, what else would he merit other than Lullaby and Finale? Finale Recast Might be slightly redundant but the other options are used even less. Short of Lullaby they probably don't even matter anymore with enough -recast in gear.
