Hmm, 1st off Almace is in La thiene & Misreaux.

Most people did frogs cleaving, you could get fast lights off any NM/vnm/emphmeral mobs. Amber/ruby/pearl/azure all lights. We did amber cleaving with cata/aeolian edge as we tend to hate ruby lights a lot. ( Gales atma/cosmos atma helps a lot with those, but if you have a war, fell cleave works just as well , just that you get ruby is all)

(While cleaving works, I would say it's best to get to a certain time and just do the NMs and get red, provided you have the red triggers.)

Sobek 2nd stage, cleaving works as well, target mob for us was colibri. The major issue here is camping gukamatz which in my server is the most camped abyssea NM. Of course you can use emphereal murex to cap lights. ( vnm/nm works too, we tended to pop mocking beak NM or get the bat NM to get pearl light fast.)

( Again, I say cleave till a good time and start camping gukamatz and round up the other pop NMs, even more so here since you could only get 1/3 KI for sobek off gold chests.)

Maybe you should read my post again, I never implied that Almace was off Tahrongi , I was merely asking if there was some sort of comparation regarding which monsters giver amber lights. Thanks very much for the info regardless, appreciate it.

@Mojo I knew you had wrote a guide on that somewhere, I even recall skimming through it(Didn't care at the time, because I didnt think it would matter). I dont have NIN available on my char, how well could DNC face Briareus ? Mine has a pretty decent gear.

DNC would do fine vs. Bria, and iirc you can eat his Mercurial Strikes if necessary with Fan Dance. DNC would be a shit choice for farming the pops though. Not enough Red options.

Curious if any RDM has done the accuracy bonus dark magian staff and if you get to the point where you could reliably sleep mobs that normally need e-seal.

Hmm, interesting. I could dual box a friend's NIN and go on RDM for KI's, or go on war and have him blm/whm or brd/whm. (Ukon war if it matters)

Edit: WAR/NIN would be a terrible option for farming KI's ? Or not so much?

Ive Been duo'ing helm the Gigas for helms this weekend Just Whm + War. /nin is only useful for dagger procs and nothing more. It acutally was harder to keep hate even after 2-3 Ukko's ( which gets close to killing the mobs ) before switching to proc weapons. Each gigas KI NM has little annoyances Stuning certain moves helps. Actually had more trouble killing KI nm's sometimes then briarious himself. I had Whm/Blm set up to stun Mercurial Strike but wouldnt always have the timer up, if he hit 1111 Just kite in a circle. Also it was rather nice when he hit for 777 which seemed to happen almost every fight greatloy increasing kill speed.

I would just go War/Sam and Whm. A rdm or Brd wont have the healing power combined with low hate to effectively kill, atleast I dont think it would. 15/50 Helms in 3 days isnt the fastest but straight Duo'ing and 2-4 hours is all I spent per day. Duo cleaving was cake too. Perle Nm's Azure any emphs you run into on the way, duo cleave frogs for unlimited time.

If you only have 2 characters you should probably do nin + war/whm with regain+minikin atmas. Should be a joke to farm sets that way.

Not solo but can easily dualbox/duo with nin or mnk +whm. Solo isn't really going to happen without a brew.

Yea ive done 10 kills now War/Sam+Whm and it speeds it up nicely. And again I have more trouble on the KI nm's then Briareus, im saying that coming war/nin to get KI is going to be troublesome with a mage that is forced to spam Cure IV. Im sure atma combination's could make it easier, I run VV+RR+Apoc the whole time im there.

Does it make sense to buy things like Terrasoul ring now when there is probably going to be better VIT rings in the future? I understand you can probably say this about everything, but I personally don't mind ra/ex stuff turning worthless, just don't want to buy something 1 mil now and see it become 100k the next update. I am not a crafter so I don't know if things have a value that it can't drop below. Any suggestion would be great.

Should I level WAR to make Chloris pop farming easier? Or should I ask how much easier will leveling WAR make the farming?

I currently tri-box MNK, BRD, WHM and while I can kill the NMs easily I have limited chances of hitting red !! for KI. I get the feeling leveling WAR would make things smoother with NM KI farming and would be better at amber box KI farming as well.

Your investment could become total crap overnight. But! That probably won't happen for 4-5 months.

If you're doing key items, it's war or bust rly. If I had to go back and do it with only mnk, I probably would still be on the trial right now (and i finished the wep week and a half to two weeks ago, including ulhua and I'd literally prolly still be on chloris).

If you're planning on straight up cleaving, just go mnk/sam rly w/ pluto staff should be more than fine, I wouldn't lv war just to cleave. Especiallyif you don't have all those weapons skilled up already.

But if a good amount of your KIs are coming from traditional method, yea gl w/o lv'ing something that can proc !! better than mnk.

Why not just get a goldsmithing/synergist friend to help you make yours? I had someone I know made me my VIT AGI STR rings by providing all materials.
