Is the spikes on Tristitia still bad? Thought I read something about it being fixed. Can it be taken down with a normal DD, BLU, WHM, BLM/BRD, THF set up?

The spikes, even if they did not have the potential to one shot you, are bad because of stun. However, you can easily back-tank the NM using BLU. The set up you described (Except our BLM is too noob for /BRD) is what I've used to fight many of the AF3+2 NMs.

I've straight tanked it Mnk/War + Whm + Grellow a dozen or so times in the past month or so without any issues. Spikes, as far as I can tell, have been fixed. Stun can be annoying but if it actually becomes a threat a Fool's drink or powder will nullify the spikes, and thus their add: stun, for the duration.

Gonna try solo edge burning some stuff in tahrongi for glavoid pops. Any idea how many t1 vnms i need to kill with each type of light to cap each? Gonna cap amber azure and pearl before i start. thanks in advance.

Quasimodo spikes still crazy while sitting ;/ , idk if "fixes" included that .

I fought it a couple of times solo recently, the second time forgot to turn while it was sitting and got hammered into <200 HP by them. (Around 800-1000 damage? didn't show up in the log.)

Anyone know the "enhances tactical guard" effect on Tantra Gloves +2? Also, Tantra Cyclas +2 martial arts is -5 delay, right?

i'd assume the tactical guard is the same as tactical parry, you get a tp bonus when it proc's. the enhances gives more tp (4tp per proc?).

you apply for a job as a GM > get hired > go to work and log in to ffxi as a GM to not deal with all the problems that come up each day.
