If WS is capped at 8 hits its also means its capped for 8.0 ftP?
for example Blade: hi is 4.0 fTP +1 offhand +2 triple attack main +2 triple attack offhand. Thats 6 hits and 9.0fTP so its actually capped at 8.0 or not?

How good is Ukko's Fury with Maschu? I'm using a magian STR GAX right now and almost done with the lotto NMs, but someone in my LS is ahead of me on the glavoid shells for Ukon. Would making Maschu in the mean time be a significant enough upgrade to be worth recamping all those stupid NMs for?

yes. It's easily the second best weapon for warrior by a wide margin.

Assuming you don't suck, i'm sure you could kill nearly all seal nms in all 3 scars zones.

Berstuk and Pascerpot are the easiest. Varney's a pretty easy target as well, and makes for an easy Varney > Pascerpot > Varney run, if you're using AH'd pop items instead of farming them yourself.

Tested as DNC90/WHM45 on Fortifications in campaign. I started with 0 TP for all tests.

Test #1: Delay 210 / 201 wearing Charis Casaque +2 and nothing else
10 swings, 45 TP returned

Test #2: Delay 201 / 201 wearing Charis Casaque +2 and nothing else
10 swings, 44 TP returned
20 swings, 88 TP returned
30 swings, 132 TP returned
(I did the extra tests in case it would help resolve any issues with fractional TP rounding.)

Test #3: Delay 201 / 201 wearing nothing else
10 swings, 46 TP returned
(I did this as a control test in case I did something stupid.)

Kinda on topic, but where did you get your Charis seals from ? I just can't see any of the mobs being exactly spam friendly to complete it.

On a completely different question too, WHM RDM WAR cleaving pops for Glavoid, everyone says it's better than farming the NM's, so I'll try that out. Incase I'm solo tho, can DNC reliably solo the NM's for the pop ? (Thinking of building extra pops when people aren't available for cleaving)


And for the actual fight, assuming I would have between 3-4 people with the following jobs:

Person 1: WAR RDM BLU SCH DNC (PLD75 too, could get to 90 if it mattered, don't think so tho.)
Person 2: THF BLM BRD DRG NIN
Person 3: RDM BLM THF
Person 4: RDM SMN BLU WAR

Among those 4 players/jobs, what would be the best combination of jobs to kill Glavoid in a reasonable amount of time, and reliably ? Please mention if specific gear sets are needed for any of them, PDT, MDT and etc. (Thinking Ukon/Twash)

DNC kinda got screwed on body seals. The best thing I found was the quest Her Father's Legacy in Abyssea - Grauberg. You have to get a Pursuer's Wing drop from the wyverns there and give it to Cornelia. It's not particularly hard, but it can take a while. You also have to zone between each trade-in, which kinda sucks for something where you have to keep re-applying Atma and buffs. If you can get a friend along who doesn't need the quest, it can help, because they can hold an extra Wing for you. It can even just be someone leeching Dominion Op XP at a low level.

The Cerb in Altep isn't all that hard either, but we had a terrible drop rate on the Tiger King's Hide and only ended up fighting him twice.

best way to go about the tiger hide is farm gold boxes. Drops like candy.

1 word: Cataclysm.

Yes, it's not fell cleave, but you can still do 1300~1500 or upwards to 1700 easy with the right atmas. Yeah, war would be faster, but it is doable on MNK, too. (Also has the bonus of not giving ruby lights, and can be used to cap your amber lights if the mob gives amber)

Speaking of Chloris, it should be really really easy now, yea? About how many holywaters should one expect to use on average per doom or per kill?

Quest is pretty sucky too, lol. I only needed 7 DNC seals when I started doing it and I got 14 BRD seals before I got those 7 (also 9 MNK and 9 SMN ). Not to mention the usual rounds of nothing but cruor. But it's something I could do completely solo if necessary. And you get boatloads of XP if you do the Dominion Op.

I agree with the person after me who said to go the gold chest route for Tiger King Hide. We were going to try that next but then the holidays came and the people I had been farming with had family plans and such.

It's an awkward way to think about it, but yes. fTP is only applied to the first hit, all subsequent hits from offhand,extra hits in ws,DA,TA,etc... receive no boost from ftp(ftp=1.0). If there's any cap to fTP it would be near impossible to see as the only two fTP enhancements raise it by .1 an and .15 for a total of .25.

Searching through 26 pages of empyrion armor thread didn't give me an answer, but what exactly does the "Set: Enhances Kick Attacks" do on tantra+2 set? bgwiki and otherwiki don't have any info on what exactly they do. Is it like WARs set bonus of double damage randomly when kicking?

Allows you to kick twice in a single attack round a la what happens when you get a DA/Kick Attacks proc during footwork. You'll notice it right away when it procs since it uses the little shin kick animation from Footwork.
