How are people soloing melo melo as blm? i've tried but the thing runs too damn fast so i can't nuke it down fast enough.

Problem is having enough bodies to avoid oneshot. Idea here is to try and do this with the minimun amount of people possible, but reliably enough to work on Empyrean's off that. Trying to minimize the use of resources/asking people for help unless extremely needed.

You don't need that many bodies at all! I got oneshot from something like 2800 damage? and that was just me eating it. The 4 that you mentioned should be no problem!

my current setup, obvious upgrades are +2 feet, snow belt, Strigofuckyourself Ring.

It runs at 12% movement so no time to stop and cast on it besides letting it go unclaimed after going into shell and getting 15% hp back.. anyone have a strat they've done it on solo?

Thinking about doing Ukonw/eaxe for WAR....what would be the minimum amount of people/jobs I would need to farm up Glavoid/Moth with? I was thinking WAR RDM BRD should be enough to Fell Cleave both pops, and for the days I can't get a BRD+RDM, would BLU be able to solo any of the NMs for their KIs?

Seconding the question and reposting my own issue, because I'm sorta in the same situation and would really like an input in this matter.

On a completely different question too, WHM RDM WAR cleaving pops for Glavoid, everyone says it's better than farming the NM's, so I'll try that out. Incase I'm solo tho, can DNC reliably solo the NM's for the pop ? (Thinking of building extra pops when people aren't available for cleaving)


And for the actual fight, assuming I would have between 3-4 people with the following jobs:

Person 1: WAR RDM BLU SCH DNC (PLD75 too, could get to 90 if it mattered, don't think so tho.)
Person 2: THF BLM BRD DRG NIN
Person 3: RDM BLM THF
Person 4: RDM SMN BLU WAR

Among those 4 players/jobs, what would be the best combination of jobs to kill Glavoid in a reasonable amount of time, and reliably ? Please mention if specific gear sets are needed for any of them, PDT, MDT and etc. (Thinking Ukon/Twash)
Assume all good/experienced players.

Any idea what the max MAB augment on Demon's ring from Abyssea-Tahrongi is?

Ironically enough after the 794832 hours of refresh failpin farm I helped a lsmate kill Iratham, killed 2 mandies for tp and the 2nd dropped MAB+3 Demon's ring from a big gold chest lol.

Lsfriend got a mab+3 magic crithit+3 resist something+3 , and that's the best I have seen. 3 similar ones dropped the same night. (aka mab +3 m crit hit+3 with whatever resist)

By suck less, i mean use some fc gear. It's not like loq and teal set are hard to get or anything. Or even just use /nin for christ's sake. It's really not that hard.

Looks like Charis Casaque is 10% DW. Just to be sure, could you repeat the 210/201 test with and without one piece of 5% DW gear? Thanks.

I wasn't positive what you meant, so I re-ran the test a few ways. Let me know if there's anything else I can do. DNC90/WHM45, 210/201 on forts in campaign, 10 swings:

No gear - 46%
Suppa only - 46%
Casaque only - 45%
Casaque + Suppa - 44%

Also, I just want to be clear in case someone finds our posts out of context -- this is a Charis Casaque +2, and it's possible that the +1 has a different amount of DW. It'll have to be tested separately.

Assuming capped pearl and azure lights, is there a higher chance of getting a TE from a chest if a mob is killed by magic?

To be honest, even if there was (and there's absolutely no proof at all that there is), I'd still say no just to stop the stupid shit people do because of this rumor. I get more TEs solo'ing 50' away on MNK than the 17 gimps in alliance put together doing that stupid "Make melees turn to kill it with magic to force blue chests" shit when I kill practically every mob with WS.

I went 1/1 on the Mantle with Blue, no Owleyes in any of my 2 or 3 kills. So I assume Mantle, but it might also help with Owleyes drop rate? Kind of like Turul/Ovni/etc

Mantle drops all the time even without blue. In ~5 kills i did that had someone in party that didn't already have it, it dropped every time, with no blue, and only th3 one one or two of them.

Checking back on my log, that was without blue, next one dropped hat and mantle with blue. It's probably incredibly common without blue, I guess.
