Does the Affinity+5 affect Cataclysm damage? I'd assume so based on Pluto's affecting it, but would like first hand information.

No, try using RR/GH/DD.

Crit damage was tested with RR and SS atma. Atma bonuses usually count as if they were from gear anyway though.

Does TP Drain on Twilight Knife only give you TP or does it also take it away from the target? I know Drain Samba doesn't actually "drain", but I noticed some TP Drains of 0 after a TP move and it made me wonder.

This is complete bullshit, the reality is it only equals this for very precise values. In general you could assume this correlation and test further from there but never rely on this "rule" being correct.

If you want to me completely safe, just take the magic damage formula and transfer it into a spreadsheet where you can alter variables as I do.

WHM merits after capping shellra? Mostly using WHM in abyssea with groups of no more than 6.

Barspells, Cure Cast time, one in Protectra V for convenience and some Devotion (mebbe one in martyr if you want).

/Sch default sub, /Rdm for Ovni or you don't want to mess around with dark arts for said dispel, /Blm if you're the only person who can Stun and desperately need Stun for what you're fighting.

It's more like 99.9%. I've seen it twice in a row before, as well as 1-2 other times.

It's not. I'm not blind, i think i'd have noticed if red was done twice (lolwut). Not to mention i ctrl+fd the log each time it happened.

I obviously know nothing of the situations it happened to you, but by human error I obviously didn't mean red procing twice. More like having the KI already or somehow fucking the claim up.

I'm convinced it has to do with the pull/deaggro. On the three occasions where we got red and no KI-trigger or Atma, it was a long pull to camp. It's speculation, but I believe there's a very short period after full deaggro during which if someone else gets hate nobody gets the KI. It happened twice in a row on monday while doing the ghost in Attohwa. I popped and ran with sneak still up to the end of the tunnel where the rest of the pt was. On the first pull I didn't see it stop moving because it was out of my view, but we got red and no KI. The first person to get hate when it was at camp didn't get it either. He checked and double checked and didn't already have the KI. On the second pull I did actually see it stop moving, but the same person voked before its name went yellow and again we got red but no KI. The time before this it was on an Eve pop that I pulled solo to alliance and again it was a long pull where it could have just barely gone idle when someone else claimed.

Neither were the case. When it happened 2x in a row to me, i claimed the first one right after it popped, and the second was 5 seconds after someone else wiped, and was passive. It dropped the third time we killed.

I procced Red !! on a Tier 2 VNM the other day (with Energy drain, and I was the only one to use it the entire fight) and it didn't drop its Abyssite. We D2ed our party leader (and VNM popper) before we killed it though.
