I speed hack to 12% while soloing, since i don't have wlegs. That's it, nothing more. Really not sure why you think i flee hack my solos, just because i said i speed hack once with no context of what i use it for.
There have been a few occasions where something you've said has made me suspect that you sometimes budge the slider up a few notches for the sake of convenience or in order to get out of sticky situations, starting with the instance that sticks out most clearly in my mind which was when you claimed to have solo'd Suzaku at 75 without using Slow and with pretty bog-standard gear (iirc you'd just recently come back to the game). I know how damn easy it is to slip into that habit as I went through a short period of doing it myself before realising it made an already pointless game feel even more pointless, and I once had a friend who ended up using it during 99% of their solos in order to ensure they didn't die if shit hit the fan.

Let me reiterate that I don't have any kind of problem with the practice itself, it just irks me a little when I see you talk down to people about how easy x, y or z mob is to solo (even if it's true) when you're probably using a flee hack as a failsafe a lot of the time.

My gear for suzy was hardly standard. I was just missing a lot of enfeeb gear. My pdt/mdt sets were good, haste set was decent, etc. I had not just recently come back to the game. Not having slow/para really isn't a big deal if you know how to tank (knowing that blink is far from useless helps especially).

No. I never use it (past 12%) for any new/difficult solo. Never. End of the story. Occasionally i'll use it for easier shit (or things i've done numerous times) if i'm about to die (often because i don't pay attention; you can often find me posting here/alla while soloing), and don't feel like starting over or losing a pop set. But it's fairly rare. And even when i do use it, it's only to prevent a death, after which i go back to 12%.

It irks me a little when you accuse me of things with absolutely nothing to base it on, and think i can't handle easy shit like shog without it.

I know full well that Blink isn't useless, but I'm also fairly sure that an extra two non-100% shadows from a spell with a slower casting time than Ichi aren't going to make any kind of significant difference.

Which is exactly what I said I think you probably use it for. In the end it's simply a case of whether or not people take your word for it that you don't use it for anything other than convenience, but don't be surprised that people become dubious when you openly admit to using it in some situations. Like I said, I know from my own and others' experience that it's all too easy to justify nudging the slider up in order to avoid an otherwise perilous situation, especially when you have it active at 12% to begin with. Speaking of which I'm curious as to which one you use, since the lowest notch on Clipper's flee hack is actually noticeably (albeit slightly) faster than +12% gear. That can certainly make a difference during kited fights.

Nothing to base it on? How about your own admission to using it "some of the time"? And don't /strawman me - I never said I don't think you can handle certain things without it; I'm pretty sure you can, as you clearly know what you're doing when it comes to soloing. The fact that I suspect you flee hack yourself out of difficult situations a lot of the time (which you've just partially admitted to) doesn't mean I don't think you're a good soloist. My issue is with the way you sometimes talk down to people when discussing soloing when you clearly use flee hack (be it frequently or infrequently) to avoid deaths that other people would usually incur as the result of unfortunate mob behaviour or your own fuck-ups.

So I'm siting here in abyssea, and my stun set has 10% gear haste, 20% FC, ontop of my natural 30% FC from trait and 15% haste spell. With 25% recast reduction from haste and another 25% recast reduction from the FC, my recast time on stun should be 62.5%, or 28 seconds right?
Well I've pre-equipped everything to make sure spellcast lagging and not swapping everything in in't an option and my stun recast is around 22-23 seconds. So it's got capped recast rate of 50%... But without Merciless Atma I should only have 62.5% recast, not the full 50% I'm getting...
On top of that, I smack up composure with the same 25/50 and 25 FC/Haste, without atma and get a 30sec recast. Then the again with composure and merciless atma and it's the same. So I'm va bit confused...

With Merciless and 25/50 FC, but with 0% Haste and no composure my recast is at 32ish seconds, but on Blizzard 4, it's still casting at the 37.5% cap. Under the same conditions without Merciless the recast is 32 again but Blizzard4 is firing around 43%. So, I'm guessing Merciless Matariach Atma's Superior Fast Cast only affects casting time and not recast time?

On top of that, how come without Merciless Matariach atma and with just FC5 Triat from Rdm90, Duelist's Tabard and Warlock's Chapeau, and with 25% Haste (gear and spell) even though my recast should be 62.5% it's at 50% when I don't lag out and all the gear swaps in? Is FC and haste additive and not multiplicative as I was lead to believe?

It kind of does against mobs that can't be slowed or paralyzed. The proc rate may not be 100%, but it's fairly high, and the cast doesn't isn't that big a deal if you start casting with 1 shadow left.

I've died just as much as anyone else. We all die from time to time while soloing. Nothing wrong with that. And if i have to cheat to avoid a death, i still chalk it up as a loss, whether i kill the mob or not. I wouldn't talk down on someone for dying, unless it's consistently, to easy shit (ie shog).

uh, .75*.75=0.5625, how are you getting 63.5%?

And are you going by recast, or the menu? Recast will be off slightly.

You know, I'm not actually sure how I got 62.5. Think I was getting confused and doing 0.75*0.5.
Do you know off the top of your head how much haste you need to cap recast with 52% FC? Also do you know/think merciless only adds casting time and not recast?

    .5/.74=0.6756756756756757, so 32.4%

    I highly doubt that.

Basically it can all be done in Boyahda for early stages, Vunkerl/Terrigan/Wajaom for mid stages... for the later stages (Beasts/Plants), just join abyssea XP.

Could do Ochus in FKN during wind weather for easy plants. Was never a fan of ToAU saplings since you don't get defensive buffs from Sanction.

Uleguerand Rabbits > Vunkerl Crabs > Wajaoam and Grauberg for the rest are the zones that tend to have the highest occurence of the necessary weather in my experience.

16: Boyahda - Lots of rabbits
17: Boyahda/Vunk - Weather pretty often for crabs here
24: Grauberg - I did the Treants for this stage
25: Grauberg - probably a better way to do this but I did the Chigoes here for Vermin, DE oneshotted them without making them fall to ground.
26: Wajoam/Bhaf/Grauberg - I personally did the hippos in Grau but Colibri would work in the areas outside Whitegate.
27: Bhaf/Wajoam - 5 pretty close together at I-8/H-8, ghost pops inbetween the two areas at night.
1104: LoO/Bhaf/Waj/Vunk - Lots of tigers in Bhaf/Waj/Vunk however I did the couerl in LoO, mainly because I could warp to the Attohwa maw and use my specs to see forecast easily. There's also alot of them pretty close together and you can kill manticores if needed.
1105: Wajoam - Lots of Puks down the very south of the map
    1893: Grauberg - Brasscaps at K-7 to L-5.

All of these were done on DNC, and obviously there might be better areas. I only ever did the trials during wind weather and most of the camps I went to were picked because I could get to them quick to check for weather.

It casts a lot of shitty nukes (stone, etc) which do far less damage. Thunder still does quite a bit of damage obviously, but it casts more than that, as you mentioned. Also, it tends to spam sleepga during cs. it's not uncommon for it to cast it 5+ times in a row, which even without poison makes it pretty easy to survive.

Rocks around Gustaberg? Wouldn't the ability to solo him depending entirely on the location you pop him at then? All my Shoggoth references were to Pashow Marshlands, but if you're doing it at Gustaberg, and relying on rocks to kite him around, it makes the fight location dependent since 1) the map is HUGE, 2) You're likely to depop him using powder boots moving him as you might when soloing Lamprey Lord, and 3) segments of Present day Gustaberg divides the region, so if those stones don't exist on the half he pops at, you're screwed. Anyways, you should specify this stuff before making broad claims since it seems to me that you're doing a little more than kiting to survive him (Location/these "rocks").

    wat.

It always pops on the east side, and it moves stupidly slow because of frequent casting outside of cs.

Nope. I've fought both LL and Shoggoth on the west side multiple times. He's annoying as hell when he pops on the East side. Also, movement only pertains to CS.
