Where do you buy your cables at?

I've seen periodically a few links to sites that sell HDMI cables for around cost instead of the 100% markup at retail stores. Can someone give me some places for this. Got a new sound system but fuck paying 30+ for a damn hdmi cable when I can order it for $3.95 + shipping.

Newegg's prices are pretty solid too, plus if you're buying something related like a receiver or TV they have deals to throw in cables for dirt cheap.

Cables are a great thing to buy from monoprice.com ; just be weary that many of their products are low quality, Chinese imported goods with monoprice.com stamped all over it.

If you do have a friend that works as best buy, they get cables at a reasonable price. My friend got me a PS2 Monster component cable for $8 with his employee markdown (i think the original price was ~$60).

Dynex is one of the Best Buys brands, so any of that stuff is good for hitting up with discount.

Otherwise newegg gives out hdmi cables like hotcakes if your buying larger components, or amazon/monoprice but make sure to buy extras as they are very poor construction. Not so much as signal cutting in and out, but the ends literally breaking off/shipping broken.

Rocketfish braided mesh cables are the best if you have a Best Buy friend and want a cable you dont have to worry about if your moving it a lot.

Yea, I have a friend at fry's from when I worked there and can abuse his discount for 5% above cost, just prefer to not do the 30 minute drive. Monoprice was the site I was trying to figure out so thanks for the quick responses.
