That might not be a bad idea then, for me, I pretty much get light burn in when the only color displayed is black, from previous things on screen if they were static (i.e: the super / health meters from SSF4 >_> Since i've been known to play 3-4 hours at a time )

I bought one of these for pretty cheap ($30-50 range if I remember). But watch it, just googling for that link I saw on site for $250 and another for $50.

Otherwise it works exactly as advertised (Yes it comes with the HDMI Cable too). I hook it up to my 42" Plasma with HDMI cable ... when on the XMB its fullscreen as normal and when you go to a game its black bordered like most people say, then you press a little button that on the end of the cord going into the PSP and it does its little upscale process. If you mistakenly press it on the XMB or go back to the XMB you need to press it again or you get a super huge zoomed screen that you only see like 1/2 of.

As for the upscaling, I only used it when playing Final Fantasy Tactics (screen was soooo small on TV without this upscaler) so I couldn't tell if it actually made the picture any better as FFT isn't exactly a graphcal wonder.

I wish I'd have known about iso loaders. I kind of wanted a PSP go but the games I wanted are UMD only so I went with a 3000.

I'd still stick with a 3000 if you don't find using a PS3 controller an absolute must, even that it seems you can do with the proper hacks, though wired only. The Go really does feel cheap as shit in my hands lol.

That's the exact one I'd recommend as a note.

Also, it's entirely possible to mod a psp for a wireless controller.

You just make a port on the PSP where you solder all the points for the controls to it, then from there you make a break-out box that has the actual directinput-> PS2 device. All you need is a wireless PS2 controller at that point. Or any system controller you prefer really, PS2 is just the easiest to work with.

If you google it, most of the ones you see have the PS2 controller hard wired to the PSP, that's the ghetto(but cheap) way to do it.

Yeah, I wouldn't do that, I might PAY someone to do it, but i'd likely end up soldering my fingers to the USB port.
