    Routers and Cable Modem

So I realized I couldn't have my tv and pc hooked up to the net at the same time because my old cable modem only has one ethernet slot, and that made me kind of sad. My understanding is that I can get a router though, and plug it into my cable modem, and will then be able to hook the two up at once. Is that basically right?

Then: the routers I've seen after a brief look online seem like they basically come in $50 and $200 varieties. Do the pricier ones do anything I need to be worried about for something pretty simple like this?

Connect your Cable modem to the WAN and PC/TV to the Ethernet ports, should work out of the box if your cable modem isn't retarded.

Price range doesn't really matter if that's all you're going to use it for, any $30 router will be as good as any $200 one.
