my post wasn't meant to be derogatory towards ff14 in eyefinity, was just a random comment about how the game looks at super high resolutions

Those are huge bezels, wow.
like someone posted earlier, displayfusion will stretch a wallpaper & the taskbar across monitors. it has options to keep icons on the taskbar only to the programs on each screen, and other things like that. it's a great program. besides utilities like this i couldn't find any way to get a taskbar on the second screen (or stretch a wallpaper that wasn't an insane resolution like arcknight's)
only the center LCD has 'huge bezels', it's the one I'm replacing for a 3rd u2311h... when that happens, I'm not sure
the u2311h has relatively small bezels
i have no complaints with it except for RDP sessions screwing my shit up, but that's not the program's fault![]()
Meh, it's not for everyone. If you've personally tried it and just didn't like it then that's that, nothing to do. I myself know I wouldn't be able to stand movies stretched across all 3 monitors, but video games where I'm using the sides as peripherals I'm fine with.I have a multi-monitor setup, but I only play games on one monitor. I have tried gaming on a multi-monitor setup before though, and the bezels irritated me quite a bit. Maybe I'm the weird one.

$ 1 9 9 + F r e e S h i p p i n g
unreal deal, just got one and it finishes up my eyefinity setup
Using a single monitor is like torture nowadays. Need that extra real estate. Also, larger size (at the same resolution) means jack shit unless you're showing movies to all your friends, in which case you should just get a projector anyway.
Larger sizes are still nice, to a point, for certain things. More a matter of where pixel pitch starts to get bad for the viewing distance (under .3mm or so I'd say). For example, 1920x1200 still looks fine for a ~24" monitor, but can be done on a 17" even (albeit only usually on very expensive laptops).
This entire thread is based off of gaming at high resolutions. 2560x1600 to 5700x1200/3600x1900.
I saw the ebay for the u2311h's for 199 a pop. They sold out quick, saw them mentioned on hardforum. Found a nice coupon to get a U3011 for between 1000-1125 though, so I'll probably be making that purchase on monday when I can call dell to try an knock an extra 5% off. It's borderline stupid to pass up a u3011 at that price new, and during the next sale I'll just grab another. I'll run dual monitor 30"+26" for the time being, just like I am now, but with games at the higher res.
Got my 3rd U2311H, all 3 are rev A01

I really wanna try Dirt 2 in 3x1 Landscape but... Desk is the small![]()
So that's ...3 23" monitors flipped vertically side-by-side? They look incredibly short, is that even 16:9? The answer seems obvious but they just look so skinny like that lol.
yes, 3 23" e-ips panels, 3500x1920 if you take into account bezel compensation, the aspect ratio is nearly 17:10
