WHY WOULD NO ONE PICK LT TO BEAST IN THE PLAYOFFS GUYS WTF I DONT UNDERSTAND
WHY WOULD NO ONE PICK LT TO BEAST IN THE PLAYOFFS GUYS WTF I DONT UNDERSTAND
It's a WC game, not a divisional game. And we're talking about one of the worst run defenses here.
my CBS roster is fairing better than this disaster, I fudged it and completely forgot to put Shockey back in and was left with Graham's deadweight. Both my teams are still in bad shape because of the Aint's D and I gambled on a resurging(lol) Reggie Bush against what I thought was a 7-9 team.
Boy, next week should be good, those Hawks are somethin special..
1. The Colts shut down Oakland's run game and CJ2K the 2 weeks before.
2. It's a pretty easy fucking call after the fact isn't it?
How did none of you guys start Marshawn Lynch??!?!?!? The Saints are atrocious against the run!
Marques Colston? hahah god damn what are you thinking?
Hmm let's see, that was an entire upset. The jets are the 5th ranked rushing offense against the 19th ranked rush defense. Seattle is 29th rush offense, 9th ranked rushing defense.
Say what you will about it being hindsight, but I saw it a mile away based off of stats and ya know, watching their games. Whatever, still a dumb call by most people to even consider Addai over LT, Manning is the only way the jets were going to get beat, not by a running back who barely managed 8 games this year.
Wouldn't say a TD and 90 total yds is shutting down CJ either.
You saw it coming a mile away? Really? Hahaha. Yeah. LT was beasting toward the end of the year, wasn't he? I totally forgot how BEASTLY LT was....oh wait. He wasn't. And Indy gave up 90 TOTAL Yards to CJ.. but they stopped him pretty well in the run. Can't help checkdowns. Look at the Chiefs against Ray Rice today. Run game? Shut down. Their QB just likes to check down.
But yeah, saying you "saw LT breaking out" coming, considering his past history in the playoffs, his recent history to end the season, and how Indy was playing a pretty damned good Run D the last few weeks... then yeah. No.
By the way, on the note of Addai; who had the best last three weeks of the season.. LT or Addai. And yeah, I know LT missed last week because pretty much everyone else did.
I don't know why anyone would have started Addai either, but LT has been garbage since early in the season, and he has Shonn Greene to contend with. It's not this "lol NO BRAINER" call like you make it out to be. Whether you saw it coming or not, you come off like a massive douche when you start piping about the great call you made and how everyone else is a total dumbass for not doing it.
and don't get the last part of my post wrong, I wasn't saying Addai was a more no brainer call than LT.. I wouldn't have started either, and I didn't, so..
yeah
Yeah, I did if you want to think otherwise feel free. The Colts shouldn't have made the play offs; their defense is atrocious, especially against the run. Guess we'll see on my other picks then. Played 3 positions, 1QB, 1RB, and 1DEF and I'm still ranked higher than ya
Only RR, Charles (eh, HR threat only Ravens Run defense is kinda suspect) and LeSean are your other options. Greene never got goal line calls from what I've seen, kinda like Jones vs Charles. I liked LeSean and LT over any other options out there for the first round based off match ups.
Nah, I picked them to win and had them as my defense as well
So, it looks like this:
If the Steelers score better, Noblemountain wins.
If the Packers score better and Starks + Ward outscore Jackson + Holmes, A Mighty Pie wins.
If the Packers score better and Jackson + Holmes outscore Starks + Ward by more than 10, I win.
Sucks, if I hadn't decided to go with Jackson I'd be the likely winner ><
Still pissed at how bad of a divisional week I had, completely killed it for me![]()
this was probably one of the worst fantasy football setups I've ever played lol ESPN really favored the fantasy noobs, salary managing is irrelevant, negotiations a joke, etc.
Not that it would matter for me if they chose standard fantasy football formula or not, Brady and the Ain'ts put me at the bottom of the list lol
Meanwhile CBS's fantasy challenge is at the other end of the spectrum, with only allowing a total of 8 player changes for the whole post-season. But, their grandprize was $5G in cash, atleast.
Yeah I dunno, it's weird the way they set it up. Like, I just wish the whole thing was somewhere in between. The first 2 weeks are just pick whoever you want (and salary is no matter, you can get everyone), and then all the sudden the 3rd week it's pick the right teams or lose, period.
Would definitely be nice to have one where salary mattered, at least in terms of picking the right guys the first couple of weeks, as well as the team influence factor... without it suddenly becoming all or nothing on the teams at the end.
I think the main problem was that the salary cap was too forgiving.
If you think about it, they have to make the rosters lock at the championship games, otherwise everyone would have the same team for the SB.
This was my complaint about the game this year. I always took whoever I want, and was never within $2 of the cap. For all I know, it might have been impossible to hit the cap. Locking before the championship game does make sense to me for Moss' reasons.
Unfortunately, I don't have any options when I create the group to change the scoring system, the salary setup, or whatnot. About the only options I have are to "lock" the group so that people can't move their entries in and out of the group at will, and/or to have a public or private group (where you need a password).
The first year I remember playing this, you actually had to make all of your picks before the playoffs started and you were locked in for the entire thing. Which is obviously more difficult, but it's the only time I've ever finished on the overall leaderboard for any ESPN game, as I picked all Rams and Titans, and they made it to the Superbowl, and finished something like 37th out of 25,000 or so.
Solution: Stop using shitty espn and yahoo for your fantasy needs.
Yeah, the salary cap thing seemed wholly unnecessary as I was never in any danger of breaking it, nor did I see any reason to try and hit the cap other than for shits and giggles. Ah well, Go Pack so I can win and then instantly be declared a loser for winning the shittiest fantasy game ever.
