Should have a Religious Showdown thread.
Should have a Religious Showdown thread.
I wanted to make a new thread with the link to the 15-question religious survey that 3,600~ Americans took and very poorly failed (except the Atheists/Agnostics/Jews which did well compared to Catholics/Southern Baptists). I was just afraid the thread would get closed and/or has been already made.
I just wanted to see how people scored. :-/ I got 14/15 right where as everyone I work with got around 5~ right.
But making a thread on religion is scary business on the interwebz.
sec
edit: and done.. no cheating!!

It's actually very very easy and I think the 3,400 people that took the quiz were fucking idiots. But then again like I said.. everyone at work utterly failed it and were all in the "Southern Baptist" category.
Oh and make sure to compare your results to the other 3,400 people!
Edit again: I had some friends on facebook and IRL take it who consider themself agnostic/atheist/other and all got 13-14/15 right. Fucking question #8.. everyone of us got it wrong and it wasn't even hard if you know your bible stories.
Damn, I only got 11/15. That last question I had no fucking clue in particular lol.
Which ones did you guys get wrong? Again, I reiterate.. fuck you #8. I could have been 100%.
I was skimming too fast and just read "Can the teacher read from the Bible" without bothering to read the "for literature" bit and was like lol no
A lot of the ones my co-workers got wrong were obviously the "ungodly" religion questions but oddly enough they got those two "can the teacher.." ones wrong too.
And I quote (okay, maybe not word-for-word) from one of my co-workers..
"Of course the motherfucking teacher can pray, it's America godamnit"
"Of course the motherfucking teacher can't read the bible, those damn Obama lovers took that away!!"
Eh? 8 is pretty easy, there's an entire book of the bible written about the dude lol. One question that tripped me up was #6, I don't know all that much about the teachings of Catholicism and assumed it would be the same as Christianity.
Yah, like I said.. if I had just thought more than 5 seconds on the question I wouldn't have missed it.. I can pretty much tell the whole life-story of the dude (lolsundayschool).
Btw, this whole survey thing was brought up because they were discussing the "impending doom" and "jesus-rapture" due to falling birds and dying fish. They started getting all religious and I dropped this quiz-bomb on them and made them feel less adequate.
Jewish Sabbath screwed me too, other than that was the question at the end and accidentally picking the wrong option for the Pakistan question.
14/15 somehow lol, I felt like I had to make an educated guess on a lot of them
missed the one about communion of all things, I used to fucking take communion too when I was a young lad
I did ok. I'm pretty hard core atheist so I fit the trend. The only way to believe is to not know anything about religion, it's kind of sad in a way.
*edit. Now that I read who does well, it's no wonder I did extra well. I'm in Utah, mormon central, and mormons also do very well. Really, all the questions about religion were easy, it was the "history" ones I probably missed.
I got 14/15.. missed the one about communion as well. I should know this, being raised Lutheran and having lots of family who are Catholic...
The more you know about religion the less you want religion, amirite? Seems to be the going thing.
