Windows 7 CD key question again

Ok dumb question about Windows 7 CD key, I know that you can use a Professional CD key on w/e version you want, French english 32bits 64 bits etc

But I have 2 things here

1) Windows 7 Profesional ugrade media
2) an all in one Windows 7 DVD which let me choose the version I want

Since I do not want to go threw the Update process from Vista and I wanna install from scratch, can I

Use the AIO CD install professional and activate with that CD?

Or do I need to use the Update CD key with the update media?

If I cannot use my CD key with the full version CD, what is the best way to do a clean install with a update media so I dont have to go threw registry options and w/e

If you have an upgrade key but a full install disc, run it through the custom install via booting from the disc. It should tell you the product key is wrong when you try to activate it during the setup process. Start the installation process again and the files that were partially installed will make your Windows disc think you're upgrading but essentially it's doing a clean install. Should only take 30min or so from last time when you tried to enter the product key to get back to that point. Second time around it should accept the key. As soon as you get into Windows and have internet access, activate ASAP.

Or just use that to do an install with an upgrade code without having to do 2 installs.

Ok that works great, just one problem

Did that guy use a Full installtion CD with the upgrade CD key, or did he use the Upgrade media with the upgrade CD Key?

There is no difference in the discs. The code is what determines if it checks for an old version and requires it for validation.
