RAM/Motherboard Compatibility Question

So I'm in the process of piecing together my first PC, I ended up with this board and RAM combo:

and just now I realized that the board says it's compatible with pretty much every possible speed of RAM except for 1600mhz, which the RAM I got is. Does anyone have any idea if these two parts are compatible? If I need to return the RAM I need to do so within 3 days before I have to get the rebate in the mail if I'm keeping it, plus the place where I bought the stuff is over 40 minutes of driving away, if they're compatible I'd like to save the trip and the downgrade from 1600 to 1333. Haven't had any luck finding an answer via google, a lot of people asking the same question without answers, and I can't ask Gigabyte tech support because I apparently need a BIOS version as a required field to fill out a ticket, which I can't get without being able to fire all this crap up, my PSU/HDD won't be here for another 4-6 days.

edit: hmph, the page says 1gb but the model is the same only size differs, no reasons it wouldn't work anyway.

I think with RAM set to run at higher speeds, it will always slow down to what the board is set to run as.

The in-box BIOS version might be on the label with the serial numbers.. take a look.

Newegg's website is also notoriously bad (difficult to understand) when it comes to laying out some specs, in particular memory compatibility for the boards. If it says the board can run DDR3-2200, then there should be no reason why the board would reject DDR3-1600. And actually I'm pretty sure any board that supports DDR3 can run at least 1600-speed memory since it's the topline without having to overclock the memory.
