FFXIV Config crashing when I try to change settings

Basically, if I open FFIV Config > General, it crashes everytime I try to close the general settings box. Even if I don't make any changes, it still crashes. Heres a screen cap of the error:

I can open the other things in FFXIV Config no problem (Gamepad and System Information).

I just reformatted my PC, and this error occured before and after the reformatting. My graphics card driver is up to date. The graphics card is a GeForce 460 GTX.

I also have an issue with FFXIV crashing a lot in game (same with many other games too), at random intervals. I have tried a bunch of things to fix this, but nothing has worked. It's one of the reasons I decided to reformat.

Anyone else having this issue? Or know how to help?

Give this a try - before you try to close it go to the Font Settings tab and change the font selector to a non-blank field. You'll have to check the box for system font to make the menu available, but make sure you uncheck it before you exit.

Turns out its not connected to the issue with the game crashing occasionally though..
