Google Chrome goodies

what do I need for Chrome? My friend just reformatted the PC and when I asked their virus protection, "Trial version of norton" That being said, lol I'm trying to provide some help here. Already got rid of that and put avast/malwarebytes on there. I am unfamiliar with Chrome though, as I use firefox. What are some good plug ins that I need to have for enhanced sekurity.

As far as I know there is no noscript extension for chrome, so there isn't anything you can do for security. Just make sure they don't run as an administrator, that's your best bet.

Adblock is available for Chrome now, and its being handled by the same developer as the adblock for firefox, although the code isn't the same.

If you go to settings->under the good->something else that i can't be bothered to check, there's an option to block javascript for all sites except those listed. It's similar to noscript, and will give an icon at the top to quickly enable it for a site. Unfortunately it doesn't work nearly as well as noscript, and doesn't even allow you block scripts hosted on other sites, but it's better than nothing.

Is Chrome's ABP method of ad-blocking different than the previous extensions available for Chrome? I recall the others only stopping ads from displaying and not from loading causing them to be a deal-breaker for some of the security-minded.
