WHATEVER.
Rachel and Arakune were in CT, but CS took a couple of the most boring characters in the game and made them ridiculously good. Not really sure where the DLC/CS2 characters ended up but from what I've seen of them they all look like pretty straightforward characters.
The game is nowhere near MvC2 levels of stupid but I think 3s is a pretty fair comparison.
3S a fair comparison? Yeah... call me when you can 100% someone in a single combo in 3S in an actual match and not a combo video.
And if you think that isn't a problem in a fighting game there's no point in us even talking this over because we'll never see eye to eye.
Rachel got nerfed hard in CS. Carl was basically complete shit outside of this one completely broken loop that I never really looked into because he's the worst character in any game ever. I think they nerfed the loop itself for CS though. If you're going by tier lists or whatever Rachel literally went from top to bottom. Litchi and Bang were top and stayed top. Everyone else stayed pretty much where they were, Carl fell a bit, and I think Nu(basically called Lambda in CS) was also slightly nerfed. Jin was calmed down a bit as well, and his freeze move was made less gay. Noel's damage was buffed but the traded off is that you can't get stuck in ridiculous looping combos that require only hitting like 4 buttons(see below).
Spoiler: show
I haven't done any online play against randoms, just friends, so I can't really speak to that end of the game, but afaik CT is pretty dead so CS would be a better bet there.

It's a completely unrealistic scenario in both games, why are you acting like it's commonplace in BB?
I can't even think of a character outside of Arakune or Carl's clap loop that could even have the potential to do that much damage in a single combo lol...or maybe some of the advanced ones involving Tager's command throw. I know like the maximum absurd perfectly-executed Ragna combos do like 55% tops of a standard character's HP and that's landing like 20ish moves with a stupid amount of dash/high jump/jump cancels.
All the absurd BB combos like those Arakune ones are against training dummies lol, it's not like they're in online matches, plus you can change almost every setting in the game on the fly in training mode.
Yes. I know... but I'm talking actual matches I've seen with some round 2 or round 3 100%ers. Not training mode, not a youtube video... I'm talkin straight up people sitting in front of the game playing their heart out and someone just getting beasted without an option.
And that's not even factoring in the supposed unblockable resets I keep hearing so much about
Right, but uh... That doesn't happen. If you can come up with an example then be my guest but the only 100% combos I've seen in either BB game were done by Arakune with curse, and they used the full duration of that curse. If you don't see why that's completely unrealistic then you don't understand how Arakune works at all.
I don't know shit about BB, I don't play it. I just see people playing at my local arcade and I know for a 100% fact that Jin has a 100% combo that I have seen with my own two eyes IN A MATCH and unblockable corner resets where you can basically rape with little effort if the opponent happens to be out of bursts (I know that's not the most common shit but it happens)
I used to go up to PZ out here in Houston all the time and all I can say is the shit that I've seen happen in that game turns me off completely.
I'm not saying you have to like it, I don't even like BB much myself, but listing big combos and unblockables as negatives and then turning around and praising 3s is all kinds of ridiculous. That unblockable reset takes 100 meter, requires your opponent to be close to the corner and STILL doesn't do 100% damage unless you lead into it with a counter hit, so you're going to have a hard time convincing me Jin has a 100% combo in any form. Nevermind the fact that one burst negates the whole thing and wastes your entire meter.
