Yeah, incredibly short and didn't quite say anything we didn't already know... Now to move through it frame-by-frame to try and pick it apart.

edit1: What the fuck, "Pulseworker" is in the party at 0:13~0:14. Again at 0:17.

edit2: obvious, but at least moogles are back even though they look kinda' retarded.

SERIOUSLY. Why would they not put in the two best characters from 13? Lightning and Fang...

Am I missing something?
1) I liked Hope near the end, but seems that people in general didn't like him.
2) Vanille was whiny as hell.
3) Snow was really cheesy/annoying. I couldn't stand his bravado.
4) Sazh was pretty cool, but "the world's not ready for a black lead character in an SE title."

Are there people that DIDN'T like lightning/fang? I'm sure there are, but enough to require Serah+Noel taking the lead? Sigh.

Why are people assuming this? First reveal was lightning and a new character, new trailer still starts with lightning then shows new characters and enviorments, I would imagine there showing new shit to avoid the same game rehashed stigma and introduce some of the new stuff, we'll know soon enough but I think ppl are jumping the gun.

I guess that they're not revealing anything about Lightning except for the emphasis on her armor because they want to save the "surprise" for later.

The story has something to do with Lightning being missing after everyone else decides to rebuild Cocoon (which can be seen frozen in crystal in the background of the beach at 0:11). Serah is most likely searching for her. Thus, Lightning is probably not going to be in the demo (which usually takes place in the beginning-ish of a game).

The battle and style of the game looks extremely close to 13, and I'm not expecting it to be very different. Which I'm not upset about. I enjoyed it and I wouldn't mind more. What I find more interesting is the expansion of lore. People residing on Pulse again, rebuilding of Cocoon, etc. They can go so many ways with it and I love to see what has happened with characters/locales/Fal'cie.

Just noticed that Serah is using Light's Blaze Edge in battle. I guess she trained while her sister was gone?

Edit:Actually it's a normal sword I think.

I'm not assuming there wont be any Lightning. I'm just assuming theres gonna be segments of the game focusing on Serah, which I honestly have no interest in. It reeks too much of the Gullwings.

I just hope they're small segments, thats all xD

I wouldn't worry. SE is aware that people actually like Lightning and that's why they've been using her a lot lately. She's the main character in Duodecim as well.

- Guess stagger is still around..
- Pulseworker as a 3rd party member. Guess they're really doing the whole gameshark thing. Reminds me of X-2 Intl where you could create monsters to do battle - except probably worked into the main storyline.
- Serah fighting! Interesting that she's a sword user. Doesn't really wield it like someone who can fight tho.
- Since they can all use magic again.. there must be some kind of explanation
- Moogles follow you around!
- Unstable Rift.. Dimension travel?
- More returning characters! I liked NORA (especially Lebreau) so its kinda nice to see them again
- ..so Serah was the only one who could afford new clothes... and her sister I guess

I'm not worried about the graphics/combat, but i hope the story is good and not some cheesy dumb shit.
That's honestly my greatest concern. Surprised no one elses.

I mean I welcomed X-2, because it was refresh but I don't even remember what the story was about.

I just remember tits and ass and I'm not saying that to sound trollish. I remember the costume change system, which I liked.

X-2 kinda ruined X for me though..
