The brands really just symbolize that they have a focus and it shows them how much time they have until they turn into a Cieth, but I don't recall anything about them losing their powers.

It's pretty much said in the epilogue:

There were still so many places that they hadn’t seen yet, hadn’t traveled to. If she searched there, she might find what she was looking for. The only thing was, it was dangerous now that she was no longer l’Cie. Gran Pulse was filled with monsters of all kinds, handling them would be no small thing. It would be a long trip.

and

Neither would Hope. While he had been strong as a l’Cie being able to summon Alexander, now he was a normal boy.

Btw in that picture Serah looks like she has a mark on her left arm too. Unless its part of her costume.

Edit: I read the epilogue twice and missed that. I am disappoint in myself.

We have 2 so far. Cactuar and Tonberry are also likely additions as both were in XIII. What else could they add?
150 seems quite a lot lol unless they're going to use reskins (and I sure hope not).
Maybe they could add the summons back in this way?

I just noticed something disappointing from the gameplay videos...

The game needs more "battle dialogue" like the Last Remnant:

Really that's one of my favorite things in games - battle dialogue (also if you don't like it, there is a way to turn on/off or adjust the volume of battle voices in TLR; they should do the same thing for FF13-2

Also the game needs more Vanille.

So they said they'll reveal more playable characters in the TGS? Have they yet or are they waiting till tomorrow (last day of TGS)?

I think someone misinterpreted what they said along the way, maybe they just said they're introduce new characters - that is Kaias and that girl. (plus Hope and Snow as returning characters)
