That's amazing, what competition? I have to resist the urge to buy one of the JP Lightning v2 PS3s still ;; I've already bought a Crystal version of 13-2 and the US Collector's Edition too lol (Probably gonna resell one of the two but I wanted the pre order bonuses on the Crystal).

Are any US retailers offering that? I looked around and didn't see any Hope it's available to buy as well.

Wasn't it stated the preorder weapons will be only useful until mid game?

Also I remember apparently hearing the pre order weapons can be obtained in game but just in a different color (Serah's for example I remember hearing).

The CE is a good deal if you want the soundtrack (CE is $80. $60 for game, $20 for soundtrack + artbook which may or may not feature Vanille is a good deal IMO [It's upgraded to an awesome deal if it does have pictures of Vanille >.>]).

For preorder I just went with best buy (for the novella even though it's already translated here).
