I went with Amazon, personally. Actual content (Omega battle) versus cosmetic bonuses (alternative costumes) made it an easy decision for me, personally. I think one other place has a weapon or something that is the best till mid-game or something supposedly? Don't remember exactly, but still doesn't really compete against actual content imo, and Amazon is the only place to have that (as far as I know).

Yes but we don't get retailer specific DLCs. Here in Italy there are 2 retailers that offer the DLC preorder pack (Multiplayer and Gamestop) but they're exactly the same and on top of that we get both the Limited Edition and the Crystal Edition.
Multiplayer has removed all versions of FFXIII-2 for some reason though.

Edit: I should add that the preorder pack includes a costume for each character, Omega and the novel and it's the same all over Europe.

I guess so. Isn't it simply the Crystal Edition with the Preorder pack added? If that's the case there's really no point in calling it "Nordic Edition" anymore.

It wasn't really retail-exclusive bonuses as much as it was the choice between the Joker pack and the Robin pack. Don't know how it was handled in countries outside of UK, though; since UK do retailer-specific too. I never bought the game, so you may very well be correct; but I remember seeing Robin/Joker editions out in Sweden.

As for the Nordic edition; by definition it only applies to the Nordic countries (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland), but I don't know whether other countries get a similar deal ("German" edition?). Not sure how DLC is handled in other countries outside Scandinavia and England; but in England you have to choose retailer. The Crystal Edition doesn't seem to include all DLC - at least not that I can see from the stores I've looked at. Besides; Nordic Edition is a whole lot cheaper than the Crystal edition, as well, so if all you want is all the DLC, Crystal Edition seems like a waste - even assuming it includes all DLC.

Nordic edition is indeed only for Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. The difference between this version and the rest of Europe is only the weapon DLC for Noel. The costume for Noel and Serah and the Omega battle is also in the "pre-order bonus pack" for the rest of Europe. Some retailers give the pre-order bonus pack with every version of the game (the Limited and Crystal edition itself doesn't have anything that's in the pre-order bonus pack). Other retailers don't have any pre-order bonus pack at all or only have a part of the DLC that is in the pre-order bonus pack.

Just give me the option of putting Lightning in the team at some point in the game and I'll be happy.

I see the vid didn't really highlight the biggest changes, but it's not like they needed to overhaul the combat system in the first place.

Blood damage, leader switch, choosing who your party members target, monsters role in the party, quicker paradigm shifts etc.

Watch them make FFXIII-2 International/Jp only, with lightning sazh vanille hope fang and snow as characters for the feral system just like X-2 did.

At least the trailer showed us a new move for sentinel + noel cinematic hair action. They should've made a feral system trailer instead.

Serah's sword/bow combat is interesting but i'm going to be so frustrated if the Tune AI system doesn't allow me to always have her use that bow form and fight from a distance.
