Does this open the possibility of DLC Lightning as "monster" perhaps?
That would easily open the chance to add more characters. Now if we could control them too...

I'm fairly certain they already confirmed her being available as part of the monster system, so yeah. I think people are just hoping for real "character" DLC though as opposed to just having them in the monster slot.

Well, considering that the game has a party leader change option it could be extended to monsters with an update, at least to human characters (due to monster using items not making sense).
I'm not holding my breath on this though.
Still, having them in the monster slot is good enough to me.

Did you play FF-XIII? Because apart from the final dungeon the ending of that game was pretty underwhelming also.
