Macros: We’re thinking about keeping the same number of lines, but looking into changing it so "/wait" commands do not take up a line.

They should just increase the character limit per line and allow semi colons to seperate commands.

That solution would make sense if it was a UI issue ("we don't want to change the screen to have more lines on it").

However, I think they have said it's actually a PS2 RAM issue. They are already at the limit of what they can store in each macro book. That's why they added more books instead of adding more sets per book or macros per set or lines per macro or characters per line. The book itself is maxed out. On PS2, the 20 macro books are stored on the hard drive and only your currently selected book is copied into RAM. SE can add even more books (as hard drive space permits) but they can't increase anything inside of the book due to RAM limitations.

However, they could reformat the books. They should change books from 10 sets of 20 macros with 5 lines each (total of 1000 lines) to 2 sets of 20 macros with 25 lines each (still 1000 lines total per book). Then, they should give us a whole ton more books. Like 5 books per job. You could have your RDM healer book, your RDM solo book, etc.

Its kind of how nobody knew the recipe for the Goblin's Drink until some JPs figured it out. Any Goblin-esque NMs that we still have yet to see? Who knows- maybe this'll be a new level 100 synth for cooks :/

There were a few gorgets on JPs (or just one) before the Developer Blog Z or w/e started releasing clues, iirc. Though if memory serves, those wily JPs got the recipe from their good friends higher up or something.

Yup. Same thing with Limbus on Bahamut. We had a "totally legit jp player" walking around with 2 nashira pieces the day after limbus came out.

How weird is that at first I couldn't figure out how they got the key items to get into the fight and then I remembered that long ago SE had us collect cumbersome items instead of key items needed for entry to their events XD
