but i see what kind of point you're making
Maybe it was fewer or less for other classes. All I remember doing on Shaman was Lesser Heal and Chain Heal on Resto and Shock and Lighting on Elemental. Priest was even more pathetic unless you went Shadow.
anti got to lvl 30
FFXI is one end of the spectrum and WoW is somewhere in the middle
Where FFXI you use spells and abilities somewhat conservatively and WoW you get into set rotations to use abilities to their maximum efficiency
LOTS of MMOs, especially the F2P ones fall into the opposite end of the spectrum from FFXI where you either spam all of your abilities on rotating cooldowns or spam your highest damaging spell and use your utility spells as needed, kind of like a mage with only frostfire, blink, and ice block. Sure there ARE other abilities but they generally arent balanced to be useful.
It's apparently really hard to balance an MMO properly so that your spells and abilities either get properly upgraded/made redundant or are always useful.
WoW is actually the best made MMO I've ever played, I just dont really like the play style
No, you're bandwagoning while not knowing what the fuck.
As usual.
they revamped it kinda nicely, gone are the days where you spam chain heal
No, shut the fuck up.
I am well aware of the new changes.
Blizzard: Hey guys, we don't like the fact that we made the game easy and healers just toss heals left and right without really caring for their MP. So were going to punish you for our mistake by upping MP costs and screwing with your MP Pools.
Yeah, the changes sound just peachy.
So far Prot Paladin has been the easiest class for me, bar none. Use Crusader Strike for single target, HotR for AoE. Abilities 1,3,5,7 etc in your set are Crusader/HotR then 2,4,6, etc are Avenger's Shield, Concencration, HoW, Shield of the Righteous, depending on situation of aoe/single target
Prot Pally is the easiest of easy modes
raiding content at the moment is hard enough to at least provide a good challenge while maintaining the fact that things are actually killable. i dont count unkillable bosses and shit from other MMOs when I think about difficulty. the hardmode encounters feel like the original WoW, where each fight makes you want to pull your hair out.
and nah ill use an example.
i'm a resto shaman, we used to spam chain heal. now, i utilize the following:
healing surge, healing wave, greater healing wave, chain heal, riptide, earth shield, healing rain, unleash elements. these are simply just my heals that are provided. shaman have totems, buffs, racials as well that i actually do use. 8 seperate heals. as far as i know, most of the healing classes are built the same way. they use almost everything given to them. my mana was aids when i first started, because of gear and cause i thought i should only use like 1-2 heals. figured out that you actually need to use different things and my efficiency went up
the game is getting better, they definitely sent their A team in for cataclysm and had retards work on wrath
Look, I'm not knocking the other changes they made to the game. I think they are great. I just think the healing overhaul was handled extremely poorly.
