If you can't stomach gore this movie isn't your cup of tea because its chock full of blood and gore.

No theater in a 20 mile radius(keep in mind I also live in the most populous Chicago suburb) has a non-3D showing later than 3pm, it has one showing all day. The Perks if Being a Wallflower has ten showings in the same theater today, as do Trouble With the Curve and Pitch Perfect, lol.

What fucked up this movie even more was that they released it mostly in 3D.

The 3D is neither wanted nor needed, the movie is great but could use less gore to appeal to the masses.
Now don't get me wrong I love gore but there is too muh slow mo gore that the movie doesnt need. A great comic to movie adaptation. I'll probably get it and enjoy without the 3d bullshit.

Theater was virtually a ghost town seeing this. Pretty sad.

Oh wow. First time in about a decade that I'm not thinking "I'm so tired of this horse shit" 10 minutes into an action movie. Would watch again.

Any comic readers here? Is "incendiary" and "hot shot" the same thing and how does the gun read their DNA through the thick gloves?

If I didn't think bullet time is lame in general and Cowboy Bebop hadn't already done it, I'd say it was a good idea to use a drug as an excuse for it. Speaking of copying, the voice is just trying to be Dirty Harry, isn't it? They should also have assumed that viewers aren't completely retarded. There's no need to do the blue MND reading effect before Anderson shoots the other female judge. We get it.

A computer guy who makes fucking wire sculptures would never say 1+11+8+5=30+! It was also 10, not 11, for that group.
Time starts slowing down like a milisecond into the first breath of the drug so it can't possibly be in the brain yet. The artists can fuck off. They specifically said they experimented on the slow motion effect to make sure it's not annoying the audience.

Still great imo. For any other action movie this nitpicking rant would go on for pages.

Just downloaded a copy and watched it. It was amazing. buying it on bluray when it comes out next week.
My only one real complaint was the terribly fake cgi blood in the slo-mo scene very early on.

This is a gem of a movie to be honest. Sadly the shitfest stallone did in the prev. Dredd film I think is what killed it. Watched that shit twice in theaters. I will buy it on Blu-Ray as
well when it hits next week. Hopefully Home Theater sells will be enough for them to continue it.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this film. Nothing Oscar-worthy, but it was simple and action-packed.

Wish I could have caught it in 3D. The drugged-up scenes would have been awesome.

I first saw the preview for this and dismissed it as a cheapo cash-in like the Res Evil sequels. Then, I saw on here that it was supposed to be good.

I saw it, it wasn't bad, but was clearly a budget, corridor shooter without the grit of Die Hard. I'd be interested to see another sequel with a bigger story to it like the original had (but obviously different)
    Spoiler: show
(the ending shows just how meaningless the entire struggle was).

Also saw Looper. I guess I'm just too big a nerd and I couldn't get over the ridiculous time travel story to enjoy the the rest of the story.

Have read that this was suppose to have been a trilogy. Hopefully it does well enough on sales to at least become "direct to dvd", would have liked to seen the development of Anderson and Dredd still being a badass.
