What does that have to do with anything? As a standalone product so far the show does really well and i can't imagine any one being confused with what is happening up to now.... the only difference the books make is the show humanizes cersei a bit more there aint no reeds yet and a bit more backstory and slight changes and arya walking around taken out.
Got is an example of something done right, the script is good the actors are good you care what happens to people and they actually act like *REAL people*, the GoT equivalent of prometheus in GoT would be if every single person was arya's fat fuck friend with brain trauma and autism.
2nd season had based theon scenes. You are obviously so butthurt that your perfect book wasn't adapted flawlessly that you can't enjoy it.
To be fair he does have a history of shit theater cuts and great director cuts.
using it wrong. Brush up on your memes
and Based Dany scenes and Based Jaime scenes and based Rob scenes.
Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the 2nd season tremendously. But they Cut corner so bad and the story telling was terrible at times (See:Jon,Dany,Stannis) that had people that never read the books hop over to the magical FFXIII-style compendium known as Wikipedia just to get a sense of what the fuck was going on.
Watched Alien and Aliens in the last two days in prep. for seeing this movie. I can't decide which I like more! As far as all of the back and forth going on in this thread, it's kinda disheartening. I'm just going to sum it up for myself as I skimmed most posts because I didn't want anything spoiled.
Some people are saying that basically if everything isn't explained in the movie, and if you have to go to an outside source for explanation or discussion, then it's a terrible movie? I can definitely understand why some would feel that way, and I'm not going to say you're wrong because it's personal preference, but I disagree. And if Prometheus has some of that element to it I'm ok with that.
Some of my favorite movies and movies I have just really enjoyed watching are either very hard to follow or to some people will make no sense. Some of these movies have been called terrible by journalists, professional movie reviewers, forums like this, etc. Examples being Southland Tales, Lost Highway, The Fountain, Donnie Darko are the ones that stand out in my head.
I really look forward to watching this in the theater. As I stated earlier in this thread, I don't go to the theater often as in maybe once or twice a year, and last time I saw Underworld Evolution. I gather from this thread overall this movie is hit or miss, but I think I will be entertained overall.
Just sayin.... it didn't take much to explain the motive, and everyone already inferred the correct motive. All it took was attention. The only thing I'm unsure about is the black goo, the way I saw it, it was "Evolution goo," but then why the fuck did that guy go batshit crazy (Sorry calli, I'm using this because that's what happened compared to Halloway, the first engineer and the other guy simply dying).
Its a good movie for visuals and creating amazing environments. It has great performances from a few actors and it has Charlize Theoron in it.
You'll be entertained but highly confused.
only thing this series hits home on in every single movie is, DON'T TRUST THE FUCKING ANDROID
I don't know why I keep clicking on this thread before seeing the movie. Habit from all the weeks before it came out lol. Gonna go see it tomorrow, will see what all the debate is about.
