Predator got raped hard. Only bad Aliens movie was Resurrection IMO! So sick of the human-hybrid-monster cliche (whether it's this series, or fucking Underworld [well, I guess, half-vampire/half-werewofl, w/e!] or the god awful RE movies; and hey they're all chicks too! DIAF!)

I actually liked 3.

For me the only movies that didn't suck were Alien, Aliens, Predator, Predators(no idea why but I really enjoyed this one.) Alien vs. Predator was fucking terrible which is ridiculous. You have the two most notable sci-fi monsters of our era and you manage to fuck that movie up? HOW?????? Alien vs. Predator Requiem was even worse. That was a waste of time. Alien 3 was just terribad. James Cameron admitted that it was insulting that they killed off Newt and Hicks. But that's what happens when you don't run the project. Alien Resurrection was terrible. Predator 2 was meh at best. I kept waiting for Mel Gibson to pop up and fight the Predator.

Aliens and Predators existing in the same universe isn't even canon, let alone any of the other crap in AvP.

Arguing canon regarding the two is a no brainer. Anyone that wants to argue it please reference them to Alien 3(where Bishop is alive well into the future) and AvP where he is dying in modern times. I choose to ignore it in the hopes that one day they will make a decent AvP movie. Which isn't going to happen. People will go to see an AvP movie regardless of how shitty it is. The budget for AvP was only 60 million and they ended up making almost 180 million worldwide. AvP Requiem cut it's budget down to 40 million and still made 120 million worldwide. What incentive is there for a studio to put forth an actual effort in an AvP film when they are pulling down solid returns for a subpar movie.

God damn the trailer is fucking amazing. Ridley Scott even brought in HR Giger to reprise work from the original Alien. (Giger was the creator of the original Alien and the whole "biomechanical" surrealist genre). I have infinite respect for Scott for doing this. Giger is one of the most original and innovative artist on
e will ever see in this lifetime.

As you know there's still a lot of mystery surrounding Ridley Scott's new sci-fi film Prometheus, but the director recently gave an interview in which he definitively revealed how much from the Alien franchise will be in this movie.

Be warned, if you read ahead you will be entering some Spoiler territory. This interview clarifies a lot of things and gives us more of a complete idea of what this films story revolves around.

The interview reveals what the Space Jockeys role is in the story, and addresses the question of... "will we actually see any Xenomorph's in the movie? Here's what the director had to say about the Space Jockey,

I was always amazed that no one asked who the hell the Space Jockey was. He wasn’t even called the Space Jockey. During the film they started to call it the Space Jockey. I don’t know who started that one off. I always thought it was amazing that no one ever asked who he was, and why was he there? What was all that about? I sat thinking about this for a while and thought, well, there’s a story! And the other four [films] missed it! So, here it is.

And this one does actually raise all kinds of other questions, because if someone could, a being, could be as monstrously clever to create something like we experienced in the very first one – I always figured it’s a weapon, and I always figured that [the ship in the first Alien] was a carrier of weapons. Therefore, who is that, inside that suit? That wasn’t a skeleton, that was a suit. And if you open up the suit, what do you get inside it? And why were they going, where were they going?

Freakin' awesome! So after all this time it's been confirmed by the director that Prometheus can in fact be considered a prequel to Alien. Scott is then asked at one point if the xenomorph alien will actually appear in Prometheus, his answer...

No. Absolutely not. They squeezed it dry. He (the xenomorph) did very well. (He laughs) He survived, he’s now in Disneyland in Orlando, and no way am I going back there. How did he end up in Disneyland? I saw him in Disneyland, Jesus Christ!

It is, Scott's crew added sound effects. This same song was also used for a Starcraft 2 promo and another track from them is in a Ghost Rider 2 trailer.

Yea, i just noticed it had the sounds from Alien movie spliced in, but the videos on youtube don't seem to have the exact same song on the trailer though.
