Am I the only one that loves the AvP universe? I liked Aliens, Predator, Predators, Predator 2(not as good as the other two but not bad), AvP: R. AvP was fucking aweful.

Not to mention in Predator 2 there is an Alien head on the wall when Glover goes into the ship.

There have been a couple of really good Aliens vs. Predator comic book series, too. The very first one, and the Chris Claremont penned one (The Deadliest of the Species, I believe) were both really well done. But there's been a lot of crap, too.

This was described quite clearly several times by, let’s call him, Agent X, as the ‘alien’ which appears in the flick. The ‘DNA’ traces are very clear whether this is a new monster with human, xenomorph and Space Jockey mixed up together… who knows? Director Ridley Scott did talk about DNA regarding Prometheus and its relation to ALIEN. The insider also confirmed:

the creature featured in PROMETHEUS has been executed with very little CGI planned.”

On Sunday we put out a report about the description and now we’ve got the images. Hopefully we won’t get 20th Century Fox pissed off and sent one of those ‘take that down or we’ll sue you in the ass’ notices.

We don’t put out bullshit info. That’s not how we roll and we never run stories like this. It is info that came out of the blue and from an incredibly trustworthy person who really wouldn’t make the site look like a bunch of douches.

The image does look a bit like a Space Jockey but with some differences… the jutted out jaw looks very Xenomorph style and the top part of the skull screams ‘facehugger’.

Now a similar design does feature in the trailer (at 00.35 seconds, and looks like the head of the Space Jockey seen in ALIEN) but the one here is smaller, human-sized and designed specifically for an actor to wear and described as the face design for ‘the alien’. There’s that mysterious humanoid figure in the trailer at 0.44 seconds but it’s not clear enough to tell what its face looks like.

The look more like Jokey space suits... better yet a bio space suit that wraps around it's host. Hence the face-hugger re-breather facial mask.

Prometheus is one of the most highly-anticipated films of 2012. Ridley Scott will be conducting a 30-Minute Q&A this Saturday, March 17th at 4 p.m. PST/ 7 p.m. EST. The full-trailer for the film will be premiered as part of the event being held at the AMC Downtown Disney in Anaheim, CA. The Q&A session will be conducted by Prometheus writer/producer Damon Lindelof (LOST).
