I was a teen when the American Pie movies came out. I liked them to a point (3 the most) but the 15 clones that Nat'l Lampoon has been pumping out every year since have not interested me in the slightest.

Blue Mountain State is a Spike channel adaptation of the genre. I saw it listed on the Netflix instant watch for months before I ever clicked on it...

Wow, though most of the content is crude as hell, this is one of the funniest shows I have seen in years. Definitely R-rated comedy in every which way except there are no actually exposed nipples. The meathead team captain (though not the main character) is one of the funniest guys on TV.

I generally oppose the Spike channel in principle for the same reasons it was a joke on Family Guy ("Spike TV, what guys like (fighting noises, farts, engine noises, woman moaning, etc)." But, this show is usually pretty damn good...

They rep'd the smallville black guy after s1 and they dropped radon after s2??? I haven't seen any s3 yet, but I expect they got another black guy, yes?

Also, I haven't checked, is S3 streaming on a per-week basis on Netflix like S2?

I swear, the comedy that Sammie/eg. the writer/creator brings, is cancellation material i.e. Testees. "drink your piss, jerk off all the time" is what ends shows, yet he gets cameos on "how I met your mother"...
