Didn't the movie 2012 document this phenomenon?
Didn't the movie 2012 document this phenomenon?
I laughed harder than I should have at that
Olde.
Also 2012 was a good movie.
No matter, us Califlowers just have to find John Cusack to help save us.
Can this please happen next month? I need some cheap real estate to buy.

Look at the budget, look at the worldwide gross, that's no fucking flop.

Is a flop
Didn't break even, but flop may have been too strong of a word.
Flop is in reference to how much money it brought in vs. its production budget. Even if it wasn't a flop in the technical sense it was still a terrible terrible movie that "flopped" in the reviews.
All the numbers prove is that the world has really bad taste in movies and will pay to see any crap.
It's true.
California is going to be destroyed by a terrible storm (of long term local government insolvency and debt).
so is it only the central valley? we silicon valley nerds are safe?
hell, maybe we could actually get some progress in the state with the central valley taken out. Maybe god could replicate the storm in the entire midwest
I remember during the '98 "El Nino" floods (I think it was in '98 ) a large portion of central valley flooded all around I-5. It was really stinky. At least my hometown is safe since it is at a higher elevation.
the area around I-5 in the northern valley is an absolute shit hole so they deserved it
Every 100-200 years when their "geological evidence" spaces each one of these events apart by an average of 274 years.
So, if it's even going to happen, it's most likely to occur again in 2135... 125 years from now. Cool science, meteorologists. Keep on keeping on with the trying to scare the populous with references to the lack of flood preparations/drainage systems Californian cities had 200 years ago.
Also, now that 2000 has gone by without a hitch, and 2012 is about to come and go just the same, what's going to be the next meaningless calendar year for idiots to fear?
